Job Description:
Performs quality assurance and testing of reference data
management technology for portfolio data management and asset
allocation applications. Validates data acquisition, vendor feeds,
and vendor data validation with respect to data compliance,
business rules, and data management, using Polar Lake, Appian, and
Reference Data Management Applications. Strategizes an end-to-end,
automated software development lifecycle including Continuous
Integration (CI), Continuous Deployment (CD), and quality
automation frameworks. Primary Responsibilities: Sets an overall product strategy to advise and inform the teams
work while collaborating with other business partners to drive
value. Anticipates, discovers, and prioritizes customer/partner needs
to serve as the voice of the customer and guide execution within
the team. Acts as a primary liaison for multiple business units to resolve
various project/technology issues. Prioritizes team objectives. Defines specific, measurable and achievable KPIs for the
team Grasps product features and breaks them into concise stories
with well-defined business value and acceptance criteria. Designs new systems based on stories. Recommends and influences design changes to complex,
interrelated systems design to achieve complicated requirements,
improve performance, or reduce costs of ownership. Plans and coordinates project schedules and makes assignments
for multiple, concurrent projects. Provides technology solutions to daily production issues. Mentors junior team members and provides technical guidance. Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope. Provides technical leadership on analysis, design, coding,
testing, problem resolution, and planning. Performs independent and complex technical and functional
analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional
initiatives. Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going
development efforts. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Applied Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered
or five (5) years of experience developing custom products used to
acquire time series and static reference data in financial services
industry, using Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Applied Computer Science,
Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3)
years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of
experience developing custom products used to acquire time series
and static reference data in financial services industry, using
Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) analyzing data operations customers
business needs and providing technology solutions to solve business
challenges allowing for business growth, using Zeppelin, PL/SQL
Developer, PolarLake, OBIEE, Appian, and RStudio. DE in product management -- prioritization, analysis, and
testing -- of data acquisition, vendor feeds, and vendor data
validation with respect to data compliance, business rules, and
data management, using Jira, Jira Align, PolarLake, Appian,
Cucumber, and Reference Data Management Applications. DE procuring 10+ TB data sets from market data providers and
processing them to create consumable data, using EMR, Spark, Hive,
and Livy. DE supporting Reference Data Management products built using AWS
