Job Description:

Performs development enhancements and capability improvements, using Oracle PL/SQL and Informatica ETL. Documents coding best practices to ensure projects meet architectural guidelines. Deploys deliverables using Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) process. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.

Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.

Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.

Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.

Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.

Creates data model changes and enforces data modeling standards and best practices.

Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.

Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.

Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.

Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Participates in scrum ceremonies -- backlog grooming, daily scrums, and sprint planning, review, and retrospectives.

Works on performance tuning and resolving performance bottlenecks.

Performs batch job scheduling and dependency management for distributed systems.

Ensures structured and well documented code in all deliverables.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience performing application development using plan administration systems in a workplace investment domain.

Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience performing application development using plan administration systems in a workplace investment domain.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (DE) performing full stack development -- supporting business needs and performing project estimations, using Atlassian Jira, Jira Align, and Confluence -- according Agile methodologies; and performing enterprise data cataloging, discovery, and governance, using Alation and Big ID.

DE performing ETL processes with complex data transformations, using Informatica Powercenter, Unix shell scripting, and XML Parsing; tuning ETL processes; and identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks at the source, target, mapping, session and system levels.

DE designing, developing, and delivering robust, efficient, and scalable database code and constructs with large datasets, using PL/SQL, MS SQL Server, DB2, Sybase, Oracle Exadata, Cloud technologies (MS Azure), and Snowflake; and performing continuous development, integration, and deployment, using ICEM, GIT/STASH, Jenkins, and Udeploy.

DE creating new logical and physical data models using data modeling techniques -- EAV, Star, and Snowflake; scheduling jobs and dependency management using Control-M; analyzing Salesforce Object Models and performing data analysis from Salesforce using SOQL; and developing interactive dashboards and reports using MS Power BI.
