Job Description:
Position Description: Provides data driven engineering solutions, using Oracle PL/SQL,
Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Snowflake Cloud technologies.
Develops complex technology solutions in Agile and Continuous
Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) environments. Performs
data visualization and writes code, using SQL and Python. Provides
business solutions by developing complex or multiple software
applications. Primary Responsibilities: Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going
development efforts. Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in
multiple platforms. Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several
divisional initiatives. Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to
implementation. Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance
testing. Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications
supporting several corporate initiatives. Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems. Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope. Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a
project. Performs independent and complex technical and functional
analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3)
years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of
experience performing online transaction processing and data
warehousing development. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or
one (1) year of experience performing online transaction processing
and data warehousing development. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) designing, developing, and
delivering robust, efficient, and scalable database code and
constructs with large datasets in Operational Data Store (ODS) and
data warehouse environments, using Oracle PL/SQL, UTPL/SQL,
Informatica Power Center or Python (for database ETL), Cloud
technologies -- Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Snowflake; tuning SQL
query performance, using TOAD, SQL developer, TKPROF or DBArtisan;
and performing code deployment, using Jenkins and Udeploy. DE developing and supporting business critical applications
within financial services and asset management compliance, risk,
and trading environments; triaging and addressing production
incidents to mitigate business impact and identifying root cause,
using Datadog, CloudWatch logs, and capacity reports; performing
data analysis and modeling -- logical and physical -- using
PowerDesigner or Oracle SQL developer data modeler; and performing
data visualization and KPI dashboard development, using Tableau,
SSRS, and Python libraries -- Pandas, Matplotlib, Seaborn, and
Plotly. DE defining, developing, and implementing Service Oriented
Architecture (SOA) design pattern; and moving data to and from
in-memory databases to on-premise, Cloud databases, using API and
in-memory technologies. DE applying Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
practices on database releases, including automated deployments,
using ECS, EKS/Docker, Jenkins and Urban Code Deploy (uDeploy);
applying software development best practices -- source code
management (using Git and Bitbucket); and driving epics, stories,
and tasks, using project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, or
