Job Description:
Designs, builds, and supports mission critical applications,
using Angular, Java, Groovy, and Amazon Web Services (AWS). Builds
creative solutions to meet user needs, using Solr, Elastic,
recommender systems, Machine Learning (ML) tools, and text
analytics. Uses business knowledge to translate the vision for
divisional initiatives into business solutions by developing
complex or multiple software applications and conducting studies of
alternatives. Analyzes and recommends changes in project
development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to
development experts and management. Primary Responsibilities: Participates in architecture design teams. Defines and implements application level architecture. Develops applications on complex projects, components, and
subsystems for the division. Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and
reviews and validates test plans. Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables. Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications
or subsystems. Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects
across multiple platforms. Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget. Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for
projects. Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for
multiple projects. Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various
project/technology issues. Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical
evaluation estimates on technology initiatives. Advises senior management on technical strategy. Mentors junior team members. Performs independent and complex technical and functional
analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional
initiatives. Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going
development efforts. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years
of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience
developing highly scalable systems and solutions that support
financial research, portfolio management, and trading functions in
an Asset Management domain. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered
or three (3) years of experience developing highly scalable systems
and solutions that support financial research, portfolio
management, and trading functions in an Asset Management
domain. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) designing and developing highly
scalable systems and solutions according to Agile methodologies in
a financial Asset Management domain, using Java, SpringBoot,
Angular, MQ, .Net, Hibernate, Mybatis, and Amazon Web Services
(AWS); creating automated unit, component, integration, and system
tests, using Junit and Mockito; deploying Web applications in a
Unix and Windows environment using Tomcat servers; and writing
code, using Eclipse, Spring Tool Suite, and VSCode. DE performing analysis, design, development, testing,
deployment, maintenance, and support of responsive Web applications
using client-side technologies -- HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, and
Angular 2+; performing test case development, using Mocha and
Jasmine; performing Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
(CI/CD), using Jenkins and Udeploy; performing version control,
using Git and Stash; performing issue tracking, using JIRA and
Service Now; and performing log tracking using Splunk. DE designing and deploying highly available, scalable, and fault
tolerant systems using AWS; performing REST and SOAP Web service
development, using Spring REST, JAX-RS, and JAX-WS; creating rest
API specifications using Swagger; developing event based systems,
using ActiveMq and Tibco EMS; performing batch processing using
SpringBatch; and performing performance and load testing, using
JMeter and heap dump analysis. DE creating new logical and physical data models using data
modeling; designing and developing backend programming for Oracle,
using PL/SQL stored procedures, triggers, and functions; performing
ETL using Informatica; scheduling jobs, using Autosys and
