Job Description:
Delivers complex and critical solutions using complex data
environments -- Operational Data Stores (ODS), Enterprise
Warehouses, data marts and lakes, and analytics platform.
Researches and recommends new technologies in support of the
strategic direction of the business unit. Participates in the
research and recommendation of appropriate models, methods, tools,
and technologies to achieve business-unit-wide solutions. Acts as
leader on the team in providing data governance oversight and
developing common business taxonomy of data. Primary Responsibilities: Partners with Application, Data, and Cloud Architects, and
engineering and product teams to deliver scalable robust data
solutions for Asset Management business capabilities. Drives Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL), and data quality
security and governance practices to optimize processes across
platforms. Leads, mentors, and provides design and architecture for squads
in alignment with the architecture strategy and roadmap for
tribes/domains. Collaborates with product and engineering leads and senior
management on product and delivery requirements, roadmaps,
obsolescence, and architecture vision. Analyzes user needs and software requirements to determine
feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Stores, retrieves, and manipulates data for analysis of system
capabilities and requirements. Develops and directs software system testing and validation
procedures, programming, and documentation. Determines system performance and data application resiliency
patterns. Designs, develops, and modifies complex and major software
systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to
predict and measure outcome and consequences of designs. Develops and directs software system testing and validation
procedures, programming, and documentation. Advises senior management on technical strategy. Plans and leads organization wide initiatives. Creates continuous integration and deployment strategies for
data repositories. Analyzes and drives cost optimization discussions, and strategy
and rehydration standards for driving unit cost of product and
business capabilities. Oversees the technical implement of cross-divisional or company
architectural components. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Data Science, Physics, or a closely related field and six (6) years
of experience in the job offered or six (6) years of experience
designing and developing enterprise operational data stores,
warehouses, and data marts within an asset management
environment. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Data Science, Physics, or a
closely related field and four (4) years of experience in the job
offered or four (4) years of experience designing and developing
enterprise operational data stores, warehouses, and data marts
within an asset management environment. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) performing conceptual, logical, and
physical data modeling using SAP PowerDesigner; developing highly
available, test driven, distributed database applications, using
Oracle database, Oracle PL/SQL, and UTPLSQL; scheduling jobs, using
Autosys and Unix scripting; performance tuning stored procedures or
SQL, using Oracle EXPLAIN PLAN, TKPROF, SQLT, and PL/SQL profiler;
performing source control, using Stash and ClearCase; and
performing Agile software development, using Jira, Snow, and
Confluence. DE designing and developing enterprise operational data stores,
warehouses, and marts using Oracle Databases; performing data
extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) within a data
integration framework using Informatica PowerCenter; performing
Business Intelligence (BI) reporting using Oracle OBIEE; developing
data visualization dashboards using Tableau; and developing Machine
Learning (ML) models using Python. DE performing data stewardship, governance, and lineage across
vendor provided data, operational data stores, warehouses, and
marts, using Master Data Management, Informatica Enterprise Data
Catalog (EDC), and Manta; building enterprise wide, mission
critical data applications using Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud
components EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, SNS/SQS, and API
Gateway. DE building data lake and analytics platforms in AWS Cloud using
Snowflake data platform; performing data ingestion using Snowpipe
ingestion tool; documenting change data capture using streams;
performing data scheduling using Tasks; and performing data sharing
