Job Description:
Provides best in class support across a suite of applications
used by business units large scale applications, databases, and
technologies -- Linux, Tomcat, SQL, HP Sitescope, Splunk AWS
services, Cloud, Kafka, Datadog, Autosys, Udeploy, and Devop tools.
Provides data availability, batch cycle, application health,
incident triage, problem, release/change implementation, Cloud
support, troubleshooting, and issue analysis management. Serves as
a subject matter expert, and crisis and communications manager for
major system outages or business-critical issues. Ensures the
integrity, stability, maintainability, and availability of business
systems, applications, and infrastructure in production and
non-production environments. Primary Responsibilities: Provides level 1 and 2 application and database oversight
encompassing business impact assessments via customer
interaction. Ensures all applications systems are functioning at
capacity. Remediates through data manipulation or application tools. Coordinates software fixes with the development teams in
non-production environments through production. Provides technical leadership to onshore and off-shore
resources. Manages incidents for timely resolution and escalates issues to
senior management. Provides application and system environment support to business
and systems development teams. Identifies, isolates, and resolves production and non-production
system problems, service requests, and support processes. Represents the organization at senior level review and crisis
resolution meetings. Executes cross-practice and computer services requests. Identifies opportunities to enhance efficiency of on-going
service request procedures. Provides technical leadership for systems installation,
configuration, and related infrastructure changes. Collaborates with development and business partners to define
plans for transition of ownership of systems/applications to
production. Ensures compliance with business disaster recovery testing
requirements. Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for
multiple projects. Directs complex and creative cross-functional assignments and
multi-phase projects. Researches and recommends new technologies. Develops, documents, and revises system design and test
procedures, and quality standards. Consults with management to ensure agreement on system
principles. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered
or five (5) years of experience providing production support for
complex asset management applications running in hybrid --
on-premise and Amazon Web Services Cloud (AWS) -- environments. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems,
Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3)
years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of
experience providing production support for complex asset
management applications running in hybrid -- on-premise and Amazon
Web Services Cloud (AWS) -- environments. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) deploying and supporting complex
financial, compliance, and trading applications in AWS Cloud
platform, using Enterprise Cloud Computing Operational API tool,
Concourse Pipelines, Kafka, CloudWatch, EC2, and S3 AWS
services. DE automating financial, compliance, and trading application
builds, using Unix Shell Scripting, AutoSys, uDeploy, and HPOO
orchestration tools. DE deploying on-premise financial, compliance, and trading
applications hosted on Apache Tomcat application servers, using
iConfig and Splunk; and monitoring on-premise financial,
compliance, and trading applications using HP Site scope tool. DE conducting data analysis and processing asset management data
warehouse environments on relational databases -- Oracle -- and
Sharepoint and OBIEE platforms, using Autosys, ETL, Informatica
loaders, and SQL queries; and preparing compliance aggregate
