Job Description:
Evaluates the design of existing systems to judge their
functionality, effectiveness, reliability, performance, usage,
maintainability, and cost of ownership. Translates business
requirements into a functional designs to addresses business needs.
Ensures functional designs are correctly translated into technology
solutions. Assists in formulating and defining system scope,
objectives and systems workflow based on requirements. Executes
analysis for medium-sized projects. Documents requirements and
creates specifications, and makes design recommendations for
medium-sized projects. Primary Responsibilities: Works with business partners and technology partners to
identify, review, define, interpret, and clarify scope of work in
terms of business and/or system requirements and processes. Contributes to the analysis strategy for technology projects
culminating in the creation of documentation to support project
needs. Recommends changes to existing systems design to achieve
requirements, and recommends designs for new systems based on
requirements. Documents objectives, use cases, requirements, and
specifications. Monitors documentation standards and best practices. Recommends traceability improvements. Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope, and
works on multiple projects concurrently. Works directly with the user community for project
definition. Communicates project plan information, objectives, and
deliverables to the team. Works on complex assignments and on multiple phases of a
project. Assists in defining analysis strategy. Writes acceptance criteria by working with business analysts
cases for review. Identifies and records risks, issues, dependencies, and
assumptions in accordance with project standards. Participates in the review and validation of Quality Assurance
test plans to ensure requirements have been met. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3)
years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of
experience performing full-stack systems design and analysis of
middle tier applications in a healthcare environment. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or
one (1) year of experience performing full-stack systems design and
analysis of middle tier applications in a healthcare
environment. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) designing and migrating legacy
systems from Oracle to Java and Web based applications; querying
databases to perform backend system data analysis of product
requirements using PostgreSQL 12.4; performing code stepping to
analyze backend flow and its relevance to requirements; identifying
system gaps and enhancements using Java 8; and performing system
design referencing, DBSchema data model, and application design;
performing data modeling using Websphere modeler; and querying
databases using postgres SQL to support incident bugs. DE designing and performing systems analysis on financial
applications using SQL and stepping through Java code; performing
impact and gap analysis to provide criticality and risk
assessments; performing defect tracking using MyAccess tool; and
performing functional and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), using
Postman and REST services. DE performing project scope, and planning and systems analysis
using Agile Project Management Institute (PMI) practices; creating
technical system documentation for requirements elicitation
according to Agile methodologies; documenting system requirements
in JIRA stories; designing and quality assurance testing
highly-scalable applications, using Rational suite and Mercury
Quality center tools; creating process flows and use case diagrams
using Microsoft Visio; and storing and tracking deliverables using
Microsoft SharePoint. DE creating project stories and references, using Atlassian,
Jira, and Confluence; performing backlog refinement and
retrospectives using Agile methodologies; creating use case
documents, Unified Modeling Languages (UML), functional and
technical specifications, and Enterprise Architectural Blue prints
to build Java based applications using Gliffy tool; and performing
product configuration analysis, and loading and customizing product
configurations with client configurations, using Jenkins, Stash,
