Job Description:

Builds, tests, and engineers mobile and web applications, using modern technologies (iOS, Android, Angular, NodeJS, and REST APIs). Develops, maintains, and supports Java development environments. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.

Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.

Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.

Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.

Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.

Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.

Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.

Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.

Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Biochemical Engineering, Engineering, Information Technology, Biotechnology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience developing responsive and progressive modern Web and mobile first applications in an Agile environment.

Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Biochemical Engineering, Engineering, Information Technology, Biotechnology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or (1) one year of experience developing responsive and progressive modern Web and mobile first applications in an Agile environment.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (DE) designing and developing responsive and mobile first applications and Web components for wealth management solutions, using Angular, iOS, and Android platforms with NodeJS API development frameworks in an Agile environment.

DE developing customer facing Java and J2EE Web applications and services, using Spring MVC/Boot, Backbone JS, Java 8 Open API YAML standards, and Maven; performing continuous integration and deployment, using Jenkins Groovy pipeline and IBM UrbanCode; and performing docker containerization for deployment on Linux Virtual Machines and Amazon Web Services EC2 instances.

DE designing and developing enterprise scale wealth management APIs, using RESTful standards, NodeJS, Spring Boot, open API, and GraphQL to ensure Cloud readiness best practices.

DE performing manual and automated testing of Web applications and REST services within a financial services industry -- financial planning and asset liquidation and trading -- using Protractor, Cucumber, Karma, Jasmine, Rest Assured, Junit, Selenium, and Jenkins; and creating Web application performance improvements, using Java memory profiling and Web page testing tool.
