Job Description:

Performs technical analysis and data mining within a DB2 and Oracle environment. Project manages multiple technology initiatives and assists in determining project prioritization for mainframe and Web-based application development initiatives. Manages resources in the planning, design, development, test, deployment, and support of releases and projects.

Primary Responsibilities:

Works across groups to identify opportunities for organization-wide technology initiatives.

Provides leadership to teams for complex technology projects.

Manages budget for assigned development portfolio and projects.

Partners with business leads to manage overall budget process.

Works with technology vendors and internal resources to provide cost efficient solutions to business requirements.

Communicates project status and issues to senior management.

Provides input to proposals for vendor selection

Partner with Quality Assurance and Release Management to ensure project solutions are implemented in a repeatable, reliable manner.

Ensures adherence to project timelines, budget, and quality standards.

Assists in the identification, isolation, resolution, and communication of problems within the testing and production environments.

Works with various estimation teams and provides leadership to developers to ensure adherence to all established development methodology, processes, and best practices.

Provides a leadership role in defining and implementing best practices and standards across the group.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Engineering Management, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience project managing mainframe and Web-based application development initiatives within an equity compensation or stock plan services environment.

Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Engineering Management, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience project managing mainframe and Web-based application development initiatives within an equity compensation or stock plan services environment.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (DE) performing Program Increment (PI) planning, developing PI objectives, and tracking the execution of features and capabilities, using standard scaled Agile metrics and frameworks; and coaching leaders, development and quality assurance associates, and Scrum Masters in Agile practices including, Scrum and Kanban within the financial services industry.

DE providing complex information technology project estimations including, creating models to test and estimate formulas and project changes, writing SQL and AQT queries to perform technical analysis, and performing data mining for project resource and timing estimations within a DB2 and Oracle environment.

DE providing technology project management support -- oversight of production installation, validation, and user/customer acceptance, and reporting status timely through in-person and digital media -- during stock plan events including, employee stock purchase plan purchases (ESPP), RSA/RSU vesting and distribution periods, and grant load activities.
