Company is looking to add an experienced executive to the leadership team who has a proven track record of successfully scaling revenue teams through the start-up phase and beyond. As the Chief Revenue Officer (“CRO”), you will design and implement a cohesive business development, sales, marketing, and customer success strategy to maximize existing market opportunities and develop new opportunities for Company. The CRO will report to the CEO and will be a senior member of the Company leadership team with accountability for the overall revenue growth of the company.
What you’ll do: Contribute as a senior member of the Company leadership team to the overall strategy and direction of the company. Partner with other senior leaders to create opportunities and resolve challenges by leveraging Company’s unique capabilities. Provide strategic leadership, coordination, and focus across all revenue teams, including business development, sales, marketing, and customer success. Create revenue growth plans, establish financial and operating targets, and determine optimal resource requirements. Implement processes to facilitate achievement and measurement of the revenue team goals. Monitor day-to-day operations/pipeline. Develop effective compensation and incentive programs. Be an exemplary representative of Company values with all of our constituents – employees, customers, industry leaders, vendors, etc. Develop genuine client relationships at the executive level and work closely with the business development and sales teams on account/prospect relationship development. Use data as the foundation of decision-making, continually challenge underlying assumptions, and be solutions focused. Lead from the front – motivate and inspire the team by leaving a positive wake both internally and externally. Recruit, develop, and retain exceptional talent, creating a deep bench to ensure the company’s ability to hit targets. Embody and encourage a growth mindset at all levels. Represent the voice of the customer and marketplace by providing market feedback to product development. Ensure seamless customer communication and coordination across all levels of the revenue team organization, from sales to marketing to customer success. Desired Traits: Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience required. Demonstrable track record of managing revenue teams through significant revenue growth. Experience attracting, hiring, retaining, and mentoring high-performing teams and individuals. A metrics driven approach to pipeline management with the ability to confidently forecast results. Excellent communication skills: collaborating, negotiating, persuading, public speaking and listening. Deep knowledge of cross-channel marketing, native advertising, programmatic, and the latest trends in digital advertising. Strong financial analytical, modeling, writing, PC, and software skills. An authentic belief in the company’s vision, business model, and ability to succeed. Highest ethical standards consistent with the policies and values of the company.
