Job Description:Position Description:\u00A0\u00A0Designs and develops Web-based applications using open source platforms -- Java/Java EE, Hibernate, Spring, and Kafka. Manages and deploys applications in Cloud, using Amazon Web Services (AWS) S3, EC2, and CloudFormation. Automates code change integration from multiple contributors into a single software project(s) using Concourse, GIT, Jenkins, Artifactory, Veracode, and uDeploy. Connects complex applications and services using modern REST APIs and code generation. Draws on in-depth knowledge of the business or function to provide business unit-wide solutions by developing complex, multi-faceted software applications. Researches and recommends new technologies in support of the strategic direction of the business unit and participates in the research and recommendation of appropriate models, methods, tools, and technologies to achieve business-unit-wide solutions.\u00A0\u00A0Primary Responsibilities:\u00A0\u00A0

  • Translates and incorporates business vision and strategy to architectural strategy recommendations at the functional level.\u00A0
  • Participates in high-level, cross- functional architecture design teams.\u00A0
  • Identifies and consults with internal and external technical resources to produce cross-company strategic designs.\u00A0
  • Consults on development and delivery of major technology initiatives for the business unit.\u00A0
  • Consults on deployment of major project deliverables.\u00A0
    • Consults on the documentation of major technology application.\u00A0
    • Oversees the technical implementation of cross-divisional or company architectural components.\u00A0
    • Initiates and drives project or strategy discussions with users or external groups to resolve issues.\u00A0
    • Sets vision, goals, and direction of team/organization.\u00A0
    • Plans and leads organization-wide initiatives.\u00A0
      • Provides leadership, technical supervision, and expertise to multiple teams in broad technical areas on complex organization-wide projects.\u00A0
      • Advises senior management on technical strategy.\u00A0
      • Researches and recommends new technologies.\u00A0
      • Works across groups to identify opportunities for organization-wide technology initiatives.\u00A0
      • Regularly provides guidance, training, and coaching to other team members for performance and career development.\u00A0
        • Identifies and plans for future resource needs.\u00A0
        • Determines technical approaches at a strategic level for the business unit.\u00A0\u00A0Education and Experience:\u00A0\u00A0Bachelor s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and six (6) years of experience in the job offered or six (6) years of experience designing, developing, and testing highly scaled, secure enterprise Java applications in a Linux and Unix environment.\u00A0\u00A0Or, alternatively, Master s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or four (4) years of experience designing, developing, and testing highly scaled, secure enterprise Java applications in a Linux and Unix environment.\u00A0\u00A0Skills and Knowledge:\u00A0\u00A0Candidate must also possess:\u00A0\u00A0
          • Demonstrated Expertise (\u201CDE\u201D) working as a member of a full-stack engineering team -- designing, developing, and testing Java and J2EE applications and Webservices (SOAP and RESTful); performing Object-oriented design, using MVC and Microservices design patterns, Spring Boot framework, IDE toolset (Eclipse, IntelliJ, or STS), Bitbucket/Stash repositories source control, and Maven dependency manager; and performing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) on Unix and Linux Virtual Machines, using Jenkins, Artifactory and uDeploy.\u00A0
          • DE developing middle-tier, multi-threaded applications, using Java 8+, Spring, and JPA/Hibernate framework; performing application build, deployment, and support using CI tools -- Jenkins, Ant, and Maven; performing configuration management, using version control software; and performing Test-Driven Development (TDD), using Unit/JUnit testing techniques, Veracode, and SONAR.\u00A0
            • DE building, deploying, and running secure Cloud-native applications using AWS core services --EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and API gateway; building, deploying, and running Cloud container platforms, using Docker and ECS; building scalable messaging applications using Kafka; performing configuration management using Cloud Formation; and building log aggregating dashboards, using AWS CloudWatch and Datadog.\u00A0
            • DE designing and developing highly scaled enterprise applications for financial platforms providing real-time message ingestion, stream processing, analytics, and reporting; processing high volume market data messages, using FIX 4.4+ protocol connectivity, Catalyst engine, and in-memory database (Redis/KDB); performing automated testing using Verifix tool; performing data engineering, using Oracle SQL and PL/SQL; and developing secure applications in an Agile - Scrum, XP, or Kanban - environment using TLS/SSL level security.\u00A0#PE1M2\u00A0\u00A0Please see below for the salary range for work locations in Colorado only:N/A
