Accounting Services Director - Full Time

Accounting Services Director is responsible for maintaining the business office functions including but not limited to payroll processing and res living billing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintain good public relations that serve the best interest of the facility and community.
  • Ensure that patient/resident rights are fair and equitable while their treatment is well established and maintained at all times.
  • Provide information to residents/families as necessary or refer to appropriate department or agency
  • Prepare monthly statements and invoices relating to charges incurred by Independent Living residents.
  • Maintain discharge procedures, maintenance of records, release of information, etc. in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Verify outside contractors and vendors paperwork for corporate compliance.
  • Input payroll data daily from PTO requests and Pay Me/Missed Punch forms into TimeTracker system; prints and distributes time reports to each department to monitor for accuracy.
  • Reviews hours and corrects errors to ensure accuracy of payroll.
  • Serves as a liaison with the HR Director, Corporate Payroll Director and Department Directors to resolve any payroll inquires promptly.
  • Responsible for preparation of payroll checks, W-2's and payroll stuffers for distribution to managers ensuring compliance with policy and procedures.
  • Maintain payroll records per State and Federal regulations.
  • Ensures the confidentiality of all payroll data.
  • Maintain maintenance of time clocks.
  • Maintain Spending Money Account for residents.
  • Work with the Executive Director and other Managers in preparation for the annual budget.
  • Maintain and ensure compliance for our Personal Service Provider policy.
  • Maintain the Infortel billing system on a regular basis for accurate resident phone billing.
  • Represent the business office and participate in meetings as required by the Executive Director.
  • Attend and participate in workshops and seminars to keep abreast of current changes.
  • Organize and monitor business office while maintaining adequate filing system, necessary equipment, supplies and ensuring business office functions are carried out promptly and efficiently.
  • Assure office area is maintained in a clean and safe manner.
  • Receive advice from department managers concerning their administrative needs to assist in eliminating/correcting problem areas and/or improvement of services in all departments.
  • Process deposits daily.
  • Perform administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc. and submitting them to the Executive Director as required.
  • Work with Corporate Staff as necessary to implement recommended changes.
  • Audit petty cash for dining services.
  • Organize and implement the bereavement sales process.
  • Must interact courteously, tactfully and politely with managers, co-workers, residents, vendors or associates to preserve productivity and moral.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervises several administrative staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


    Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field: or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of 1 year of payroll experience.

      Work Schedule

      Full-Time - Exempt position, Day shift hours. Some evenings and weekends may be required to meet the demands of the position. Also, on call rotation requirement for Department Level position. PI215002151
