Senior Product Manager, Donor Screening and Clinical
Diagnostics
Summary:
The Senior Product Manager is an Individual Contributor, based in
Raleigh, NC and will focus to provide global marketing leadership
for our Donor Screening and Clinical Diagnostics portfolios. This
role is part of our global Diagnostic Marketing Team and reports
directly to the Global Group Product Manager, Blood & Plasma
Screening. The Senior Product Manager's responsibilities cover
management of the portfolio from new product development to
commercial handoff. In doing so, the individual collaborates with
our teams in Product Development, Sales, Marketing, Medical
Affairs, Regulatory, Quality and R&D. This role contributes to
the long-term strategy of developing new products that address the
needs of our customers worldwide in the Clinical Diagnostics and
Blood Screening market. Therefore, demonstrated knowledge of
Clinical Diagnostics and Blood Screening market, and molecular
diagnostics technologies is required to fulfill this goal.

Your primary responsibilities:
You design and implement a portfolio strategy, including tactical
and strategic plans, to develop, support, protect and expand market
share globally in assigned product area(s)
You assess the market needs and gaps, opportunities and trends
You develop a thorough knowledge of customer segments, conduct
market research and assess competitive landscape
You prioritize product roadmaps based on competitive analysis and
market assessments
You manage the product lifecycle from concept through development
to commercialization and phase-out
You cultivate networks with external key opinion leaders as well as
with internal key stakeholders for idea generation and adoption
You collaborate with Customer Marketing teams to support product
launches and commercialization through segmentation, value
proposition and differentiation
You collaborate with Medical Affairs to drive a publication
strategy in support of new products and the current product
portfolio
You build strong relationships and create best practices for
decision making with R&D, Product Development, Sales,
Regulatory, Quality, and other key internal stakeholders
You work closely with Grifols internal and external partners in
order to meet milestones and enable successful new product
launches
You develop business cases for management reviews and
implementations of new product developments or product launches
You work within global marketing to develop and implement a
consistent brand identify across portfolio
You utilize the voice of our Customer to validate the customer
needs and as an input for product requirements
You support the development of new products' business case for new
project approvals
You develop value propositions and messaging for key stakeholders
in the sales process
You develop pricing strategies to meet business unit revenue and
profitability targets
You provide inputs to demand forecasting

About you:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities we are looking for
Demonstrated knowlage of Molecular Diagnostics and Blood Screening
market, and technologies
Lab experience a plus
Prior track record for introduction of new products
Demonstrated experience in developing and executing plans and
managing projects to completion
Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to
communicate professionally with external customers and Key Opinion
Leaders
Demonstrate high level of organizational and leadership skills to
effectively interface with all levels of the organization and key
diagnostic partners
Resourceful and able to work in a collaborative team environment
with minimal supervision
Education and Experience we require for this role
Bachelor or Masters' degree in life Science, preferably in
molecular biology, MBA preferred
5+ years of work experience in product management, preferably in
clinical/molecular diagnostics or 3+ years of work experience if
you have a Masters' degree
Equivalency
Depending on area of assignment, directly related experience or a
combination of directly related education and experience and/or
competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements.
Example: If a job level requires a bachelor's degree plus 4 years
of experience, an equivalence could include 8 years of experience,
an Associate's degree with 6 years of experience, or a Masters'
degree with 2 years of experience.
