Job SummaryBeyu Group, Inc. owns and operates several cafes and coffee shops, a locally roasted coffee bean line, and a prepared meals division. The Prepared Meals Division (PMD) produces three core products, including ready-to-eat meals (RTEM), home delivery meals (HDM), and medically0 tailored meals (MTM). Each involves individual or multi-portion packaged fresh and frozen meals curated for different customer bases. PMD was born from Beyu's meal service program, the Beyu Food Project (BFP), which the company established in April 2020 during the onset of COVID-19 as a way for the company to fulfill its mission during a difficult time in our community. Organized to meet the needs exacerbated by the global pandemic, BFP continues today as a social enterprise providing home-delivered meals for individuals and families facing food insecurity. BFP designs, prepares, and delivers healthy meals and is currently looking to directly provide or collaborate with other organizations to provide wellness education (e.g., nutrition, exercise), workforce development (aka, job training & jobs), and micro-transit services. The PMD is beginning the rollout of MTMs to food insecure communities and the community at large through B2B relationships.Beyu Group, Inc. seeks an experienced Senior Program Director to oversee its Prepared Meals Division, managing the Director of Commissary & Warehouse Operations and the Prepared Meals Division Executive Chef. Together, they will ensure that the Division devises solid strategies, effectively translates those strategies into tactics, and achieves targeted results regarding revenue, profitability, quality, safety, and compliance.While the Director of Commissary & Warehouse Operations and Executive Chef primarily support the back of the house (BOH) operations, this role primarily supports the front of the house (FOH), serving as the conduit between our key stakeholders and the PMD. This role is both outward-facing and detail-oriented. Our ideal candidate will have a strong and proven track record with project management and experience with retail or wholesale food production, funding opportunity identification, grant writing and reporting, and program design, including program development, implementation, and data management. This position also provides strong career advancement for the successful candidate.Key Objectives:

  • To serve with the CEO as the face of the Prepared Meals Division (PMD).
  • To identify, write, submit, and report on grant funding opportunities.
  • To design, develop, pitch, and implement new PMD programs utilizing project management tools and best practices.
  • To set and maintain a high standard for communication and collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • To clearly and efficiently organize, facilitate, and guide internal and external stakeholder meetings to achieve specific outcomes.

      • Serving as the PMD external leader in the community, currently including Beyu Food Project, RTEM, HDM, and MTM;
      • Driving the identification, vetting, application, monitoring, and reporting of new grant funding opportunities;
      • Engaging partner organizations and other key stakeholders in designing, developing, pitching, and implementing new PMD programs, while utilizing project management tools and best practices;
      • Convening key stakeholder groups to establish the Beyu Group, Inc. and PMD as a community leader in healthy packaged meals and a supporter of food insecure communities;
      • Identifying, securing, and implementing software and digital-based solutions to 1) document and manage customers and key stakeholders, 2) document and manage FOH processes and procedures, and 3) monitor product and service quality and consistency at all times;
      • Ensuring that all involved in the PMD are adequately trained and measured;
      • Coordinating with referring community networks and partners to ensure all PMD milestones are on schedule and within the prescribed terms and conditions;
      • Producing recommendations, actions, and follow-up after meetings and scheduling future meetings with key stakeholders;
      • Collecting and protecting program data, ensuring that those with data access are appropriately trained (e.g., HIPAA/PHI training);
      • Identifying opportunities to improve and expand our work and impact within our programs as well as our broader team;
      • Coordinating with the Marketing and Communications team to provide any necessary departmental inputs and multimedia content for events, web, print, and social media;
      • Designing and implementing print and digital outreach strategies to inform and engage key stakeholders and food recipients.
      • Maintaining, tracking, and updating the engagement calendar, action plans, and project management boards for all PMD programs (i.e., making sure that all key stakeholders are aware and aligned at all times);
      • Identifying potential PMD program issues and risks and providing timely recommendations.
      • Designing, planning, implementing, monitoring, and evolving a workforce development program that supports Beyu's team and underserved communities and engages community educational institutions and other resources to achieve targeted participation and results.Qualifications
        • 5+ years of operational experience in project management for corporations and/or non-profits;
        • Existing relationships and trust within the Durham and broader NC community among predominantly BIPOC communities
        • Demonstrated experience securing, managing, and reporting on grant funding;
        • Demonstrated experience in project management;
        • Demonstrated technology fluency with examples of program innovations through technology;
        • A systems-based approach to solving problems blended with strong emotional intelligence;
        • Start-up experience as part of an intrapreneurial team;
        • A strong and confident presence and aptitude for written and live presentations as well as meeting/event facilitation;
        • Experience developing, delivering, and/or codifying training programs;
        • A demonstrated commitment to the mission and work of Beyu Food Project;
        • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills;
        • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. The Beyu Group, Inc. runs hard to maximize impact;
        • Possesses reliable transportation and is able to attend local and state-wide events primarily during the week with occasional weekend and evening commitments;
        • Spanish-speaking a plus; and
        • MBA and/or PMP a plus.Compensation & Benefits
          • Beginning annual gross of $95,000 to $125,000 commensurate with experience (paid weekly)
          • $5,000 annual health stipend
