The Senior Manager, FP&A is responsible for building Business Partner relationships with the Site leads at our Durham and Philadelphia based manufacturing facilities. The role will report into the Director FP&A Manufacturing and Operations.The Senior Manager FP&A - Manufacturing will lead all aspects of FP&A at the Sites, providing financial leadership, insights, planning and analysis to the Sites. This position will establish working relationships and methodologies with key stakeholders at the Sites. Executing on various planning cycles (Budget/Forecast/LRP), understanding revenue, staffing, manufacturing drivers, cost of goods, inventory, operating expenses and compiling information into financial plans.This role will partner with the Head of Manufacturing and Site leads at each site and will need to establish key relationships with stakeholders. FP&A at RESILIENCE is in a growth mode, requiring a start-up mentality and an ability to work collaboratively to support all areas of Finance. The individual will be responsible for providing business insights to the local and corporate leaders to help measure progress on company performance and assist with enhancing companywide financial reports.Job Responsibilities

  • Primary FP&A business partner providing FP&A leadership to Durham, NC and Philadeplphia, PA Manufacturing Sites. Drive the annual budgeting and forecasting planning process for the Sites
  • Provide analysis and insights in support of manufacturing plant business decision making
  • Manage and explain site P&L, developing an in-depth understanding of key business drivers to incorporate into monthly commentaries, insights and recommendations
  • Deliver accurate and timely monthly/quarterly business reporting packages and dashboards, interpret financial information, and communicate to the Site(s) management team. Deep insight into operating costs, personal, capex, inventory, reserves, obsolensence
  • Support HQ and Site Accounting team during month-end Close accruals and reserves
  • Partner with Accounting on proper maintence of costing, standards, COGs and align in the FP&A planning tool
  • Implement Budget controls and tracking mechanism to ensure operational controls and financial metrics for manufacturing and capital
  • Provide support for pricing, purchasing and other commercial initiatives, partnering with commercial FP&A to understand commercial deliverables, goals and pipeline
  • Approve Purchase Requisitions and new hire Requistions for the Sites
  • Expand use of technology to bring efficiencies and self-service - Dashboards for both Financial and Operating metrics
  • Partner with corporate technical accounting team to research, establish, and enforce proper accounting treatment for new and complex business transactions such as those involving revenue recognition, sale/lease-back, joint ventures, equity investments, and collaboration agreements
  • Formulate and implement financial strategies, policies, and programs including operating and capital budgeting, financial reporting, financial planning and analysis, compliance, risk management, and internal and external audit
  • Ensure that the sites have a well-developed financial planning and analysis function that helps identify and address revenue and cost performance improvement opportunities and supports ad hoc projects and decision making
  • Interpret and ensure compliance with all business arrangements, including Customer and Partner agreements, to ensure revenue recognition and results align to all contracts and agreements
  • Advise local and corporate management of trends and changes in financial reporting requirements and recommend best approach for any changes in reporting
  • Assess the principal financial risks of various types faced by the company in the region and ensure that all such risks are monitored and managed.
  • Responsible for Commercial and/or Government contract review, Project Accounting and the appropriate reporting of contract revenue and costs in accordance with accounting standards
  • Assist with specific projects and initiatives unique to a fast-growing manufacturing technologies company, such as system implementations and updates and business process improvements
  • Lead the establishment and maintenance of a robust internal financial control environment across all aspects of the business to ensure financial statements are free from material errorQualifications
    • Experience developing and supporting manufacturing sites
    • Proven track record of success; excellent financial/analytical capabilities
    • Strong presentation and leadership skills
    • Experience building financial models and supporting manufacturing operations
    • Demonstrated ability to successfully execute responsibilities in a fast-paced environment, collaborating across corporate functions and multiple stakeholders
    • Experience with US GAAP, Internal Controls, and SOX/404 requirements
    • Experience with ASC 606, Revenue from Contracts with Customers
    • Strong Powerpoint and Excel skills
    • Knowledge of ERP and FP&A systems
    • Possess strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills and have the ability to work with all levels of employees and be able to present findings to senior management
    • Be able to meet the rigorous deadlines of a public company, multitask, and prioritize responsibilities
    • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and Advanced knowledge of PowerPointPreferred Experience
      • B.S. degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance is desirable, MBA preferred
      • 8+ years of financial planning and analysis experience with progressive responsibility; preference with exposure to manufacturing and commercial operations within biotechnology companies
