Description: The Director, Research Services is responsible for
driving and managing MetaMetrics' research agenda. This role
facilitates communication and collaboration across the Research and
Development (R&D), Machine Learning (ML), Product Development,
and sales teams to identify research that will benefit and support
the organization's strategic goals. This role is responsible for
all aspects of research, including conceptualizing, planning,
tracking, and conducting research projects, and for documenting and
disseminating outcomes through publications (white papers, research
briefs) and presentations. The Director, Research Services (RS)
manages the RS team within R&D as well as external and/or
third-party research partnerships. Essential Duties &
- Manages R&D Research Services staff to ensure projects and
products are completed according to timelines and budget; mentors
staff to foster professional development.
- Drives, manages, and contributes to MetaMetrics' research
- Designs and conducts research to support MetaMetrics research
agenda, product roadmap, and strategic partnerships; facilitates
data collection and data analysis, draws conclusions, writes
research reports, and gives technical presentations to explain the
- Collaborates with and manages external and/or third-party
research partnerships and research requests; plans and facilitates
MetaMetrics' Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) meetings.
- Supports the development of new products.
- Provides research leadership and strengthens research
activities and processes within MetaMetrics; serves as primary
contact for research inquiries and technical information.
- Ensures effective communication across various teams within
MetaMetrics to receive and understand research requests, and also
provides updates on the research agenda and current projects.
- Organizes and maintains a central repository of documentation
to support consistent messaging to internal teams and

support) and perceives of and manages the development of research
briefs, white papers, etc., to promote MetaMetrics' as a thought

This position manages the Research Services group within R&D. .
Requirements: Education and/or Experience:Doctoral degree (Ph.D.,
Ed.D.) in research and evaluation, educational psychology,
psychometrics, or equivalent; and 10+ years related experience; or
equivalent combination of education and experience. Background in
research methodology and design and assessment development, with an
emphasis on reading/English Language Arts or mathematics curriculum
and instruction, preferred. Computer Skills:Experience using
statistical software. Proficient in Windows environment,
intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access),
basic e-mail (Gmail), and basic Internet navigation. Extensive
experience with word processing, spreadsheet, and other computer
applications for the development of research studies and reports.
Other Qualities:Language Skills - Ability to read, analyze, and
interpret common scientific and technical journals, and legal
documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints
from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business
community. Ability to write articles for publication, white papers,
and technical reports that conform to prescribed style and format.
Ability to effectively present information with both internal and
external stakeholders.Reasoning Ability- Ability to apply
principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of
intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with a variety
of abstract and concrete variables.Publishing - Active track record
of peer-reviewed research publications and conference papers is
preferred, though not essential.PM19
