Supplier Quality Engineer (Hybrid – Wendell, NC) Contract | 3 Years Manpower Engineering Transform the everyday with us! Manpower Engineering is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer for a long-term 3?year contract opportunity based in Wendell, NC . This position follows a hybrid schedule and plays a critical role in ensuring high-quality performance across the supply base. About the Role In this role, you will be responsible for driving supplier quality excellence through audits, qualification activities, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will collaborate closely with suppliers, R&D, purchasing, and field teams to resolve quality issues, conduct root cause analysis, and improve supply chain performance. Additionally, you will lead PPAP deliverables, coordinate quality agreements, and implement systems that promote consistent compliance and supplier development. Responsibilities Ensure supplier quality through detailed audits, qualification processes, and improvement activities Partner with suppliers, R&D, purchasing, and field teams to resolve quality concerns Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions Lead and manage PPAP deliverables and documentation Coordinate and maintain supplier quality agreements Conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance and drive development Support continuous improvement across the supply chain Qualifications — You’ll Win Us Over If You Have: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, etc.) OR 3 years of vocational training plus 5 years in a technician role Ability to travel 20–30%, mostly within North America, with occasional international travel 5 years of experience in production, development, and/or quality management 3 years of experience with: Resolving supplier performance issues using root cause analysis Collaborating with suppliers, R&D, and field/customer teams Leading PPAP activities and auditing suppliers for compliance and continuous improvement If this is a role that interests you and you’d like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
