Job Description:

Insight Global is looking for a Sr. Security Engineer to join the Cybersecurity Division at a growing life sciences startup company. This candidate will be supporting all of the R&D sites in the California area. The candidate will be working with many on prem systems that are all developed in AWS. The company is a gitlab shop and the team works solely with python from a coding perspective. The candidate will be responsible for helping architecting well designed applications as well as building the security functionality. The team currently is building the security platform from scratch and it is imperative that the candidate have strong knowledge of a wide range of AWS services. The candidate will be working closely with developers and scientists to conduct code reviews and threat assessments. The candidate will also need to have strong knowledge of penetration testing. This is a permanent opportunity and gives the candidate the ability to create a security platform from scratch. The role is fully remote but ideally sitting on the West Coast.
