RESPONSIBILITIES
The job responsibilities of the Manufacturing Supervisor include, but are not limited to:

  • Manages all powder paint operations and systems.
  • Oversees the daily operation of paint equipment.
  • Supervises all powder paint employees.
  • Troubleshoots all technical problems with equipment and powder paint
  • Repairs powder paint guns as necessary
  • Performs basic mechanical and electrical machine repairs
  • Programs powder booth consoles as necessary
  • Focuses on process improvements to improve line density, minimize powder usage and revises routings.
    Maintains inventory and orders MRO parts.
    Ensures compliance with respiratory program.
  • Trains lead personnel and powder paint staff on all aspects of powder systems, including color changes
  • Ensures weekly production schedules are achieved as developed by the production planner.
  • Efficiently produces a quality product by maintaining quality production standards, job standards and specifications. Recommends revisions as needed.
  • Achieves annual departmental scrap and reject goals in Scrap Reduction Program. Consults with quality assurance personnel for questionable or out of standard product.
  • Follows shop order instructions for all production jobs, including maintaining the correct number of people assigned to each operation.
  • Achieves all departmental Key Operating Indicators (KOI)
  • Approves and monitors employee time, attendance and labor per procedures
  • Follows all company policies and procedures associated with assigned department
  • Consults with human resources on personnel related issues. Takes disciplinary action if required
  • Completes new hire and annual performance evaluations for assigned personnel.
  • Oversees 7S functions in Powder Department
  • Follows all safety rules and policies as required
  • Participates in all training as required

    Qualifications:
    Engineering Degree or equivalent experience
    Management experience preferred
    Technical and mechanical experience
    Able to work with a diverse group of individuals
    Basic Microsoft Office Suite
