and a provisioning solution for today's complex multi-domain
networks. Your work will transform customer needs and expectations

The Team:
Here we'll closely work with customers in analyzing production
issues, debug a comprehensive suite of products, develop a
solution, deploy it, and verify the issues are completely addressed
to their satisfaction. Be a key member of the team responsible for
implementing Cisco's key vision - making customer success a reality
and making a positive impact to the organization!
Role & Responsibilities:
In this highly visible role as a Software Engineer you will:
Analyze, develop, implement and test fixes to address issues
encountered by customers.
Develop solutions to problems in existing software components.
Perform unit & integration tests, write test plans to cover all
possible scenarios, and document the results.
Be responsible for reviewing the work of other software systems
programming personnel.
Debug software components written in Python and Java, parts of a
complex network management product.
Qualifications:
Masters or Bachelors with demonstrated ability in software
development or support with expertise in Python, web applications,
and to a lesser extent Java. Other technologies such as Kubernetes,
docker, Linux and microservices are a plus.
While being a special combination, familiarity with both the IP
networking world and the optical transport world is complementary
to our product.
Ability to develop quick solutions to customer issues and produce
patches to customers with high quality.
Understanding of networking and network management protocols such
as NETCONF, RESTCONF, SNMP, Syslog, and Kafka.
Experience with Linux is required.
Familiarity with a variety of network equipment from Cisco,
Juniper, Ciena, Nokia (Alcatel Lucent), Infinera is an
advantage.
Experience in developing Network Management Software.
Exposure to git tools and bash scripting is a plus.
Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP/CCIP/Oracle/Red Hat
Linux/Java/Open Stack are a plus.

the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S.
locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles
the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also
eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales
positions include base and incentive compensation target.
Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and
additional factors, including but not limited to skillset,

U.S. employees have to quality medical, dental and vision

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on
top of their base salary, which is split between quota and
non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco pays at
the standard rate of 1% of incentive target for each 1% revenue
attainment against the quota up to 100%. Once performance exceeds
100% quota attainment, incentive rates may increase up to five
times the standard rate with no cap on incentive compensation. For
non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales
objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans
do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive
compensation to be paid.
