Job Description:The RoleOur team builds a new cloud-native
Surveillance Platform to enable the differentiated Fidelity
customer experience and, to reduce fraud, better adhere to data
regulations, and drive technology simplicity across the firm. We
focus on delivering end-to-end cloud-native digital solutions where
scalability, stability and security are our highest priority. We
are obsessed with simplifying complex problems by automating
everything and monitoring the right things!The Expertise we're
looking for
- A proven foundation in Data Engineering - bachelor's degree +
preferred, 10+ years of experience
- Data Streaming & Messaging Technologies (Kafka, Kinesis, SNS,
SQS)
- Event Driven application design, development, and tuning using
Kafka
- Strong background in distributed design patterns and critical
thinking skills to design end-to-end solutions
- Proficiency building and deploying applications to AWS and
AZURE cloud platforms
- Experience with Relational and NoSQL databases
- Experience and comfort working in an agile environment (Scrum
and Kanban)
- Exposure to data science functions including AI/ML development
is a plus
- Excellent communication and influencing skills to facilitate
collaboration across technology and business partners without
having a direct authority over people
- Curious, motivated, can-do attitude, self-directed, proactive,
and results orientedThe Skills you bring
- Knowledge of Cloud-native REST API development using Python,
JAVA, Maven, Stash, Spring Boot and OpenAPI standards
- Experience with code quality and analysis tools like
Sonar/Veracode
- Experience with cloud-based low latency-stream event
messaging/Kafka (ex. market open) implementations and managing
concurrency
- Ownership of the entire secure SSDL, and extensive experience
with DevOps CI/CD practices, TDD, BDD, automated security and
quality testing, modern test and mock frameworks and service
virtualization tools to rapidly deliver, measure, and iterate
features to customers while minimizing risk using practices like
A/B tests, blue-green deployments, and feature toggles
- Proficiency with Docker containerization, EKS, ECS, and
EC2
- Demonstrated ability in influencing and partnering with
architects, engineers, and product teams to deliver scalable robust
application solutions
- Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) certifications are a plusPlease see below
