Job Description: The Role Join our team to help grow Fidelity's Defined Benefit (Pension Plan Administration) business. In addition to working on client projects, you will participate in technology transformation initiatives to incorporate the latest technologies and improve product features! The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • BS or above in Computer Science or related field or equivalent programming experience
  • 2+ years of development experience with strong knowledge of Excel, Visual Basic, VBA macros and Sybase/SQL/Relational Databases is required
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum project environment with project team members in multiple locations, including offshore, is required
  • Strong Object-oriented analysis and design is a plus
  • Familiarity with actuarial science /Defined benefits domain is a plus
  • Desire and aptitude for learning new technologies!
  • Work in a fast paced, highly matrix environment to achieve group goals
  • Use business requirements to develop technical designs, follow architectural strategies and solutions
  • Partner with technology and business partners
  • Good verbal and written communication skills The Value You Deliver
    • Analyze and convert complex retirement plan requirements and develop on Actuarial pension benefit validation platform using Excel, Visual Basic, VBA macros and Sybase.
    • Complete detailed unit/acceptance testing and certification to ensure development is delivered on time and in conjunction with defined release management practices.
    • Perform self-certification of the DB Actuarial pension benefit validation platform using XMLs, MS Access and Sybase.
    • Effectively operate in agile software delivery environment / Scrum.
    • Work closely with application owners, solution architects and business sponsors
    • Ensuring designs meet performance, security, usability, and reliability and scalability requirements. The Team Fidelity's Defined Benefit Technology team is seeking a Software Engineer to work on key client implementation and corporate action initiatives. The team supports the recordkeeping and administration of Defined Benefit (also known as pension) plans on behalf of Fidelity's corporate clients, their employees, and retirees. This group is looking for a highly motivated, self-starter to join its multidimensional, globally distributed team of IT professionals responsible for the design and development of DB Calculation Engine Applications.
