Job Description:

Provides data analysis leadership for an integrated, cross practice implementation team responsible for the successful
transition of data. Assures adherence to established processes and procedures. Works closely with the implementation
team to ensure the successful conversion of data from the client and/or prior record keeper(s). Performs data analysis
on source data. Develops mapping and audit specifications. Writes mapping and audit codes. Analyzes data quality,
reconciliation, and error reports to identify and resolve issues.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assesses all project information requirements and impact to the database/file and technology platform.
• Provides technical leadership for execution of data analysis and evaluation of data models on large and complex
projects.
• Provides technical leadership and reviews work output of developers.
• Identifies opportunities to use and enhance the enterprise data model.
• Assesses data design recommendations made by other analysts and recommends data design changes to
complex, interrelated data designs to achieve complicated requirements and improve performance.
• Assists in definition of data governance model to operationalize data standards.
• Assesses objectives, use cases, information requirements, and data specifications.
• Mentors and provides guidance and training to team members.
• Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects.
• Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects.
• Resolves project data issues and data issues that span subsystems.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, a Physical Science Discipline,
Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of
experience in job offered or five (5) years of experience performing relational and dimensional data modeling and
analysis of datasets for financial services.

Or alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, a Physical Science
Discipline, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3)
years of experience in job offered or three (3) years of experience performing relational and dimensional data modeling
and analysis of datasets for financial services.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

• Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) designing and implementing on premise ‘Big Data’ data management platforms,
including: creating file based data stores in HDFS and implementing data ingest and aggregation tools; writing Sqoop
shell, Impala and Spark/Scala scripts and queries in Oracle and Hive; and determining access provisions for
unstructured and relational data and implementing reporting solutions, -- multiplatform reporting, data analysis, and
establishing role base cross department data access -- using Tableau Server and Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE).

• DE designing and implementing cloud-based, data management platforms, including creating file based data
stores in S3 and implementing data ingest and aggregation tools, using Cloud Formation Stacks, EMR, EC2, and State
Machine step functions; writing glue crawler and ETL, Spark/Scala, and Lambda and Java scripts and queries in Oracle
and Athena; and determining access provisions for unstructured and relational data.

• DE designing and implementing enterprise data governance solutions on cloud and commissioning EC2 servers,
using launch templates, auto scaling groups, EBS volumes, security groups, key pairs and managing on prem and cloud
multiplatform data lineage and profiles; creating business metadata and curation, data quality scoring, and monitoring;
and establishing role-based cross department data access.

• DE working with multi-department business users to extract business needs and requirements and translating their
requirements into data and governance solutions for business domains (defined contribution 401k recordkeeping and
management, defined benefit pension data management, health plans, health savings accounts, and supplemental
insurance) using Informatica EDC, Collibra, or Manta.
