Job Description Job Description One on One Design Solutions is a drafting firm located in eastern North Carolina. For more than 15 years, we have been providing drafting services to millwork companies all over the United States. Position Summary: We are currently seeking an experienced full-time drafter/engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for the drafting and generation of CAD shop drawings and millwork details. Functions and Responsibilities: · Examine and interpret architectural and interior designs from drawings, construction blueprints, specifications, and supplemental documentation · Production of detailed and accurate shop drawings of millwork and casework and various other millwork items using AutoCAD. · Accurately and clearly label measurements, plan, elevations, sections, details, schedules and finishes. · Work closely with the client to determine the best methods of construction · Update field dimensions and revise drawings per red lines as needed · Maintain organized CAD files/folders as required Skills Required: · Ability to interpret architectural/design drawings · Ability to prioritize and multi-task with minimal supervision · Superior time management, organizational skills and scheduling ability · Ability to work with strict deadlines and in a fast-paced environment · Exceptional communications skills, attention to detail and strong work ethic · Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD · Proficient in basic math skills · Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings · Ability to interpret scope of work Education and Experience Required: High school grad. (Tech. school preferred) 3 years AutoCAD experience. Custom cabinetry or high-end millwork shop drawing experience a plus
