Job Description Job Description Description: The Maintenance Technician will assist and/or perform general maintenance and repairs for equipment and facilities including plumbing, electrical, mechanical, basic carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems. This role requires expertise in both electrical and mechanical systems to ensure production equipment operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. As required, this position is expected to have timely quality communications regarding maintenance topics with: Maintenance Personnel (internal and external sister sites) Machine Operators Plant personnel Outside contractors Management Key Responsibilities Expectations, duties, and responsibilities of the job are but not limited to: Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on production and facility equipment. Perform preventive maintenance (PM) task on machines, conveyors, motors, PLC’s and control systems to reduce unplanned downtime. Diagnose and repair electrical issues, including wiring, sensors, switches, control panels, drives, and circuit boards. Read and interpret electrical and mechanical blueprints, schematics and technical manuals. Install, align, and test new or repaired equipment and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify and resolve root causes of equipment issues. Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, and parts of inventory using the company’s CMM system (when applicable) Assist in equipment upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement projects. Ensure compliance with all safety policies, OSHA standards, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures. Support facility systems such as HVAC, lighting, plumbing and compressed air as needed Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities. Learn various plant machine operations. Performs other duties as assigned by management. Requirements: Physical Requirements: This position requires continuous standing, walking, lifting items that are up to 70 lbs. and moving materials using forklifts, hand trucks, carts, etc. This position requires use of computers and software. The position also requires the use of hand tools that are manual, pneumatic or electric. Work can be repetitive by nature and employees must wear proper PPE including gloves, safety glasses/goggles, safety shoes, dust mask, apron, etc. on a continuous basis based on specific tasks.
