DESCRIPTION OF OPPORTUNITY
The Head of Pork Marketing is responsible for leading all Marketing
efforts for in-line and new product launches of pharmaceutical and
biologic brands and service offerings primarily targeted to
customers in all parts of the Pork Industry. They will supervise a
team of several marketing professionals and will be a member of the
Pork Leadership Team. As a member of the Business Unit Leadership
Team, this leader will engage in decisions that affect the Pork
Business and may from time to time take on additional
responsibilities for cross business functions and new business
They will have proven leadership qualities to facilitate
interactions among diverse teams, strong analytical skills, and
demonstrated ability to be collaborative to develop marketing and
business strategies including aligned execution. Responsibilities
include leading the five-year rolling operating plan process across
multiple functions that have input into the plan. They will also
coordinate with Research and Commercial Development on lifecycle
plans and strategies to ensure a robust pipeline of new products
and line extensions. They will be responsible for the development
and talent planning of colleagues within their reporting

Leading the Business
Drives the performance of P&L by ensuring key brand revenues,
profit margins and expenses are optimally managed.
Develops and delivers the five-year strategic and financial
operating plan for Pork.
Develops and executes the strategic marketing plan, segment plans
and the associated brand plans for the vaccine, pharmaceuticals,
value service offerings (data analytics, educational services)
which will deliver performance expectations and drive company
Collaborates with sales, technical, operations, and other cross
functional teams to ensure complete alignment of business strategy
and execution at customer level.
Collaborates with Business and Commercial Development to facilitate
the acquisition and development of new market-focused, compounds
Leads the brand and segment commercial lifecycle planning efforts
to ensure new data and formulations, optimize lifecycle of existing
brands, launch new products/services.
Acts, in all respects, in accordance with the Zoetis core beliefs

Collaborates with fellow Leadership Team members of Pork and other

Leads, coaches and develops a team of marketing colleagues
responsible for all aspects of the Pork business marketing mix.
Coaches and directs the marketing team in developing comprehensive
marketing objectives, strategies and plans; identifying and
including key stakeholders throughout the process.
Assesses and coaches individual and team performance to exceed
Defines and provides ongoing development opportunities for
Fosters an environment where coaching and feedback is open, ongoing
Leverages talent and resources across the marketing team, across
Business Unit and throughout Zoetis.
Maintains and continues to bring new talent into the marketing
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
BS /BA and relevant experience required. MBA preferred.
10+ years of related experience and a proven record demonstrating
increasing responsibilities and success in brand management,
strategy development and communications.
High sense of urgency, coupled with a demonstrated ability to
exercise good judgment and make sound decisions based on relevant
Strong financial analysis skills and proven ability to develop and
manage budgets and expenses.
Experience working with cross-functional teams in developing and
executing brand strategies, programs and tactics to achieve and
surpass market share and revenue targets.
Demonstrated ability to lead colleagues, to be a both team player
Ability to organize, prioritize and oversee complex,
cross-functional projects that require input from many internal and
external stakeholders in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and problem-solving
Strong oral, written and interpersonal communications skills;
strong negotiation/persuasion and presentation skills.
Possesses in-depth knowledge and expertise in marketing
disciplines; brand management; market research; communications
strategy; customer insight; and marketing material development.
Strong IT skills (MS Office and ability to learn Zoetis
Ability to interact with/influence Sr. Management and peers with
confidence and conviction.
Leads change, having a substantial impact on the Business Unit.
Ability to travel to internal and external meetings, conventions,
tradeshows, and customer interactions ( 30%).
