  Here's the Gist:
  Wolfspeed is seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant to be responsible for a variety of accounting responsibilities including performing ongoing monthly and quarterly general accounting and providing accounting guidance on various areas of U.S. GAAP (e.g., revenue recognition, leases, debt, M&A, stock comp) by timely researching complex transactions, independently assessing implications, documenting conclusions, and supporting the application of Wolfspeed policies ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP. This position will interface as needed with other accounting groups (shared services, operations finance, and FP&A) to ensure that all deadlines are met as well as assist in timely and accurate internal and SEC reporting.
  The Day-to-Day:
  • Perform monthly and quarterly close tasks; preparation of various reconciliations, journal entries, and support the completion of related financial statement disclosures.
  • Assist with the processing of certain transaction data related to ASC 606
  • Maintain documentation of processes related to accounting procedures and internal controls
  • Coordinate audit requests for both internal and external audit requirements for SOX, interim reviews and the year end audit
  • Participate and support ad-hoc projects as required. This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):
    • BS/BA degree in Finance or Accounting
    • CPA license or in pursuit of CPA license
    • 3+ years of relevant work experience preferably within a public company and/or large regional or Big Four accounting firm
    • Working knowledge of SOX controls (design and execution) strongly preferred
    • Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills
    • Team player with strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication and customer service skills required
    • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and critically in a rapidly changing environment
