Team Description:

Kitware, Inc. is actively seeking an Accounting Associate to provide general accounting and administrative support. The Accounting Associate will be primarily responsible for preparing and processing expense reports including credit card transactions, employee expense reimbursements, and travel-related costs while ensuring compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and other negotiated contract terms. This position will also be responsible for performing a variety of other accounting and administrative duties in support of the Company's continued growth.

In This Position You Will:

* Process credit card transactions through an expense reporting platform (Concur); charge expenses to general ledger accounts and projects/cost centers by analyzing invoice/employee expense reports and recording entries.
* Prepare employee expense reports; ensure compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) as it relates to allowable costs, unallowables, per diems, etc.
* Provide assistance to employees with expense reimbursement questions, including travel coordination and expense platform training.
* Coordinate with Payroll to ensure timely processing of employee expense reimbursements.
* Maintain communication with several third party travel related service providers, to ensure they are meeting the needs of our employees.
* Perform monthly reconciliations to assist in the month end close process
* Maintain expense reporting and corporate card programs.
* Assist with additional projects and functions as determined by team supervisors.

Required Qualifications:

* Associates degree in accounting or business and 3 years of experience, or equivalent education and experience
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and basic to intermediate accounting applications software.
* Meticulous organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Excellent customer service focus and communication skills, both oral and written; ability to effectively communicate with multiple individuals in varying levels of the organization.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player.
