We are looking for a curious and driven individual to join our Strategy & New Ventures team. In this role, you will help drive Blue Cross NC's strategy and have a significant impact on the company and its future. You will contribute to the execution of strategic partnerships and M&A opportunities from end-to-end, developing insightful analyses and working collaboratively to foster consensus and gain executive buy-in. You will support analysis for the executive team, who will rely on you to conduct deep diligence, make strategic recommendations for transformative growth initiatives.

We will look for you to deploy your critical thinking skills along with your passion for health care, innovation and a track record of contributing to the overall execution of partnerships and M&A transactions. You can successfully own projects in an ambiguous environment from ideation to execution and are comfortable with shifting priorities. With your business acumen you'll comfortable developing business cases, building financial models, and managing the due diligence process.   • Drive revenue diversification efforts through the development of business cases that provide executive leadership with strategic recommendations on inorganic growth opportunities
  • Leads various phases of the transaction process including market assessments, strategy development, target identification and screening, deal structuring, due diligence, negotiation and closing
  • Lead, support, and execute day-to-day development of multiple strategic initiatives at once, including managing timelines, potential risks, and final deliverables with limited input from executive sponsors
  • Proactively collaborate with business unit leadership to provide thought leadership and identify M&A and partnership opportunities aligned with strategic priorities--
  • Manage communication and alignment with key internal stakeholders to establish cross-functional alignment and support effective decision makingWhat You Bring:
    • Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of experience leading consulting or project teams in evaluating strategic growth opportunities (inorganic and organic),
    • OR Master's degree and at least 4 years of experience as stated above
    • Internal candidates with at least 8 years of broad-based health insurance/healthcare experience and direct, prior exposure to applicable strategy area
    • Experience developing market overviews, understanding competitive positioning, analyzing market trends, and understanding customer needs
    • Conceptual, analytical, and financial modeling skills
    • Ability to quickly ramp up on new topics and demonstrated structured problem solving
    • Ability to perform rigorous strategic analyses
