Job Description:

Develops and executes automated SOA testing of RESTful Web services.

Writes, defines, and develops automated test plans and cases. Plans,

designs, and executes tests. Assures that projects meet quality

standards by providing technical guidance in planning, designing, and

executing testing and developing procedures relating to product quality

on complex projects.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provides technical leadership on analysis, design, coding,

testing, problem resolution, and planning.

• Performs code reviews and formal reviews of application designs,

business, and functional requirements.

• Defines and implements quality process improvements focused on

defect prevention.

• Ensures test environment reflects business requirements for test

execution.

• Assists in development of in-house test tools.

• Coordinates test schedules, work assignments, and resource

plans.

• Mentors junior team members and provides technical guidance.

• Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.

• Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget.

• Maintains status of project and monitors activities of team

members.

• Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various

project/technology issues.

• Works directly with the user community for project definition.

• Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going

development efforts.

• Analyzes and reports overall test status and results.

• Identifies and resolves test issues.

• Performs risk analysis at project management level.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science,

Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics,

Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience in

the job offered or five (5) years of experience performing quality

assurance testing and automation of Web services for retirement planning

and guidance, personal workplace investing, or retail banking

applications;

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in

Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information

Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3)

years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience

performing quality assurance testing and automation of Web services for

retirement planning and guidance, personal workplace investing, or

retail banking applications.

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) developing and testing RESTful web

services using Java and SpringBoot for development and industry standard

test tools: Spring Tool Suite (STS), Angular (with Protractor, Jasmine,

and Angular JS), Maven, Docker, and Apigee, for DevOps and pipeline

deployment;

DE developing automation scripts to test Application Programming

Interfaces (APIs) using SOAP UI, REST-Assured, and Postman; and adapting

micro-service architecture using J2EE technologies -- Spring framework,

Spring Security, Maven, JUnit, GIT, and Bitbucket -- according to Agile

software development methodologies within large-scale financial services

systems;

DE analyzing, developing, and automating quality tests for Web

applications, according to Agile scrum methodologies; and performing

combinatorial testing to optimize scenario coverage using Hexawise

(pairwise testing);

DE performing continuous development, integration, and deployment using

Docker, Jenkins, uDeploy, Kubernetes, and cloud service providers --

Apache, Tomcat, and AWS.
