Job Description:

Duties: Provides technical application and database support of trading

and portfolio products within an asset management environment. Performs

database batch and feed delivery. Ensures data quality, effective

operations, and maintenance of batch environment. Identifies

inefficiencies using SQL tools to implement and recommend enhancements.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provides support, triage, and issue resolution in the production

environment to maintain high availability for critical user applications

with correct data provisions.

• Participates in the rollout of new products while ensuring

seamless delivery for the execution of production data management

activities.

• Monitors performance, capacity, and recovery requirements in the

production environment.

• Develops tools to automate the collection and analysis of

operational data.

• Evaluates and participates in implementation of new systems and

automation initiatives.

• Defines and recommends process improvement initiatives.

• Assesses and amends operational procedures and practices while

leveraging tools and operational processes that drive efficiency and

scale.

• Creates contingency plans covering key areas of vulnerability

within the system.

• Coordinates systems installation and configuration of systems

installation and infrastructure changes.

• Responsible for the maintenance of system diagrams and

operational procedures.

• Troubleshoots and tunes performance within the platform space.

• Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.

• Works on multiple projects concurrently.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in

Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information

Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3)

years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience

providing systems services support for DB2, Oracle, and Sybase databases

within a financial services environment; Or, alternatively, Master’s

degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science,

Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics,

Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience in

the job offered or one (1) year of experience providing systems services

support for DB2, Oracle, and Sybase databases within a financial

services environment.

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) conducting data analysis, including

writing SQL queries for data extraction and modeling from relational

databases -- DB2, Oracle, and Sybase -- using SQL Developer, Toad, or

Rapid SQL; and developing reports using Excel within an Oracle

environment with data integration using Informatica;

DE automating builds using Unix Shell scripting, AutoSys JIL, and

AutoSys scheduler; performing disaster recovery procedures using HPOO

orchestration tools; and automating procedures and processes to increase

ROI gains and improve application and platform stability;

DE providing end-to-end database and application operations support,

including: performance monitoring using Sitescope, Hyperic, BSM, and

Splunk; analyzing and validating system components -- batch jobs,

application scripts (Perl), and DB packages; validating processes for

incident triage and production change implementations; and performing

analysis and remediation of multiple batch cycles and business user

applications using AutoSys (ACC/WCC), Control-M, and MS Windows

scheduler;

DE creating business reports and dashboards in Tableau or OBIEE on

business and operational metrics; and presenting reports to senior

management.
