Job Description:

Duties: Designs, develops, and maintains Java/J2EE applications according

to Agile methodologies. Builds innovative Web services utilizing Continuous

Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) methodologies. Designs

scoring algorithms using WebSphere Operational Decision Maker (WODM) and

RESTful services to determine model portfolios.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going

development efforts.

• Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in

multiple platforms.

• Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several

divisional initiatives.

• Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to

implementation.

• Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.

• Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications

supporting several corporate initiatives.

• Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.

• Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.

• Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.

• Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis

for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in

Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,

Computer Applications, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and

three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of

experience performing Object-oriented design, development, and maintenance

of Java/J2EE financial planning applications using service-oriented

architecture; Or, alternatively, a Master’s degree (or foreign education

equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology,

Information Systems, Computer Applications, Mathematics, Physics, or a

closely related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or

one (1) year of experience performing Object-oriented design, development,

and maintenance of Java/J2EE financial planning applications using service-

oriented architecture. Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise

(“DE”) designing and developing enterprise scale Service Oriented

Architectures for performance, scalability, maintainability, and

testability within a Java environment, according to Agile and Waterfall

methodologies using: Soap/RESTFul Web services, WebSphere and Tomcat

servers, design patterns, Spring frameworks (iBatis and MyBatis),

Integrated Development Environment (Spring Tool Suite and Eclipse), and SQL

developer; and designing technical solutions using UML; DE building

responsive end-to-end MVC-based Web applications using Tomcat application

server, Java-based middle layer, and JavaScript client-side technologies

(jQuery, Underscore, Backbone.js, SASS, HTML, Ajax, and CSS), that consume

RESTful JSON Web services; DE developing Java/J2EE Web services (SOAP and

RESTful) using JSON and XML formats, XML schema design, and WSDL design;

performing application build, deploy, and support using git, Maven, Ant,

Sonar, and Continuous Integration systems (Jenkins, Docker,

Nexus/Artifactory, and IBM uDeploy); writing scripts and generating reports

using Splunk and Dynatrace; developing messaging applications using Spring

frameworks and IBM Message Broker; and designing and developing rules for

Business Rule Management System using IBM ODM; DE developing complex

financial planning algorithms to generate hypothetical Monte Carlo

simulated what-if scenarios to assess the investment characteristics and

risks to inform planning strategy.
