Job Description:
Duties: Will provide support for applications across multiple
non- production environments. Work with cross-functional teams to
develop business and systems requirements, user interface design, data
modeling, systems designs, and systems interface specifications. Primary Responsibilities: • Respond to user inquiries regarding application-related
issues. • Provide daily operational support for applications and
related mainframe systems in multiple non-production environments,
including off business cycle testing. • Code, test, and implement issues impeding testing in any and
all non-production environments. • Document operational procedures, objectives, use cases, requirements, and specifications. • Develop and maintain systems in the MVS mainframe
environment. • Gather requirements and analyze Technical Specifications
Document (TSD). • Participate in the full Software Development Lifecycle
(SDLC). • Create and deliver systems requirements and design
specifications. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology,
Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3)
years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience
in application development using COBOL, DB2, and JCL in a Financial
Services, Retirement Planning, or Defined Contribution plans environment;
or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent)
in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology,
Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1)
year of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience in
application development using COBOL, DB2, and JCL in a Financial Services,
Retirement Planning, or Defined Contribution plans environment. Candidate
must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) triaging complex
programmatic, systemic, and data issues in a COBOL, DB2, JCL, and VSAM batch
environment, using Endevor version control tool, Control-M scheduling tool,
and Syncsort and File-Aid utility tools; DE developing mainframe applications
in the MVS environment, automating applications using Rexx Programs, and
creating reports using SAS; DE triaging, modifying, and testing CICS
batch transaction modules in COBOL within a DB2 and VSAM system
