Job Description:

Duties: Will report to the manager of quality assurance. Will be

responsible for quality assurance and performance testing of financial

reference data systems. Will liaise with a matrix business and development

team throughout the software development lifecycle across several

geographic locations.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide performance testing services for enterprise applications

and infrastructure, including distributed Internet technologies,

client/server applications, and infrastructure components.

• Facilitate the creation of project schedules, test strategies, test

plans, and other deliverables.

• Estimate the test effort for the Performance Testing Service.

• Validate the preparation of test environments and verify that teams

are aligned to build/prepare test environments.

• Review, create, and load test scripts.

• Analyze test data creation efforts.

• Perform complex workload analysis and recommend appropriate testing

strategy.

• Escalate performance testing issues to the attention of the Test

Managers and Business.

• Execute performance tests and communicate results to management.

• Report progress on problem resolution to management.

• Monitor test results and analyze performance metrics from NT, UNIX,

Web server, test tools, and the application.

• Identify bottle-necks and tuning points.

• Partner with Development Team to characterize and improve

application scalability and performance.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in

Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,

Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of

experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience in

performance testing and performance tuning of middle tier applications and

database systems; or, alternatively, a Master’s degree (or foreign

education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information

Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related

field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3)

years of experience in performance testing and performance tuning of middle

tier applications and database systems. Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) in performance testing and performance tuning

of middle tier applications and database systems for mission critical, real-

time asset management and compliance middle tier applications and database

systems; DE in performance tuning of Oracle SGA, including performance

analysis and development of memory and buffer cache recommendations; DE in

client server and Web based application performance tuning using

LoadRunner; and writing JavaScripts, HTTP/HTML and Web services protocols

to simulate database load; and DE profiling system resources and

application code using Dynatrace for application and server performance;

monitoring response time transactions using Splunk, including writing

queries in SPL, Perl, and UNIX; and analyzing AWR reports to perform

database and middle tier performance analysis.
