Job Description:

Duties: Will support and implement all aspects of file transmissions

between Fidelity and its clients and vendors. Configure new connections

with external clients for file processing. Triage batch jobs, Abnormal Ends

(AbEnds), monitor the environment, and resolve user-generated request

tickets.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform batch processing, data implementation, and support

activities using COBOL, DB2, JCL, and mainframe tools.

• Perform requirements analysis, prototyping, design, development,

and testing of mainframe applications or programs.

• Communicate with the client and respective teams to ensure timely

deliverables.

• Research AbEnds, scheduling issues, and infrastructure changes for

Single Client Feed and FPRS applications.

• Gather business requirements using standard tools, methods, and

procedures.

• Review requirements and recommend changes to existing systems

design to achieve requirements.

• Document objectives, use cases, requirements, and specifications.

• Follow documentation standards and best practices.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in

Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,

Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of

experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience in

application development using COBOL, DB2, and JCL; or, alternatively,

Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science,

Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics,

Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience in the

job offered or one (1) year of experience in application development using

COBOL, DB2, and JCL. Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise

(“DE”) in batch and data processing using JCL, COBOL, DB2, and mainframe

tools (Control M for scheduling, TSO for time sharing, ISPF for interactive

and batch productivity, and SQL for querying); DE designing and developing

Electronic Data Transmission (EDT) applications using Axway to send/receive

transactions, Sentinel for file monitoring, Copilot for job logs, and

WinSCP for file transmission; DE identifying solutions to failures in

FTP/SFTP/NDM; DE developing automated applications using REXX and

Easytrieve.
