Duties: Serve as a member of the technology team for Fidelity’s Charitable

Gift Fund (Fidelity Charitable). Fidelity Charitable is a public charity

that sponsors the largest national donor-advised fund program, and also has

a pooled income fund. Fidelity Investments provides all of the charitable

organization’s employees and supports all of its functions: Program

Development, Marketing, Service Delivery, Relationship Management, Finance,

Technology, Risk and Compliance, and Fundraising. This position will serve

as Scrum Master tasked with modernizing and reinventing the digital and

operational platforms for the organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Act as Scrum Master with a focus on guiding the teams towards

improving the way they work and becoming self-organized for the development

of Java-based web and mobile centric software applications.

• Facilitate sprint planning, retrospective and sprint demos, and

reviews.

• Assist the product owner with keeping the backlog groomed.

• Ensure cross-team coordination.

• Lead iteration planning and review sessions for software

development initiatives and building application architecture.

• Track the team’s process and progress by monitoring Iteration

Burndown, Iteration Burnup and Iteration Cumulative Flow Diagrams.

• Reach out to the larger company network for impediment removal.

• Maintain relevant metrics that assists the team monitor their

progress.

• Coach and mentor other scrum masters to ensure consistent work

processes across the teams.

• Act as a project manager, when necessary, and project manage

dependencies between the team and third parties or between the team and

other scrum teams.

• Strengthen the presence of the team as an Agile Center of

Excellence.

• Create an environment that will allow development and business

teams full visibility into product backlog, project status, and blockers

and impediments.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in

Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,

Information Science, Mathematics, Physics or a closely related field and

five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of

experience developing web or mobile centric applications using Java; or,

alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in

Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,

Information Science, Mathematics, Physics or a closely related field and

three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of

experience developing web or mobile centric applications using Java.

Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) applying Scrum

Master methodologies to client implementation projects, including

facilitating project planning, backlog creation, story estimation, sprint

and release planning, daily scrums, sprint review, and retrospective for

development of web or mobile centric applications using Atlassian Jira; and

Git for version control; DE applying Agile methodologies to software

development project execution, including managing multiple Agile work-

streams and coordinating development within geographically distributed

teams; DE building application architectures for large financial services

applications; DE in continuous integration and delivery, including code

deployment using Jenkins and Maven and writing Gherkin automation test

scripts according to Cucumber test automation frameworks.
