Job Description:
Duties: Will be responsible for providing business unit-wide
solutions by planning and executing Testing and Reporting Services (TRS)
discretionary development projects. This individual will work with the TRS
business teams to conceptualize and define business requirements and transform
these business requirements into IT requirements. Will participate in
high-level cross-functional architectural design teams. Will lead and
direct a team of developers to build components for web-based retirement
products. Primary Responsibilities: • Set vision, goals and direction of the unit to execute and
deliver Business Intelligence, web-based, and compliance reporting
applications. • Perform certified project management for TRS discretionary
and support projects. • Manage and deliver projects and applications for
Compliance Reporting for 5500. • Provide IT leadership and manage a cross-matrixed team of IT
and financial services professionals. • Provide technical supervision on multiple, complex projects,
and advise senior management on technical strategy. • Provide subject matter expertise for TRS web and reporting applications. • Provide technical management for SOA and Reporting
solutions. • Partner with TRS through the production support workflow
and provide technical management for the distributed deliveries
within the TRS Discretionary Portfolio. • Work with TRS business to understand requirements and work
closely with developers to ensure the highest-level quality
projects. • Lead and perform analysis and design. • Initiate and drive project and strategy discussions, establish
full project life cycle plans and oversee technical
implementation. • Responsible for achievement of on-time and on-budget
project goals. • Estimate and assign project tasks to team members. • Review system specifications (SDS) and technical
specifications (TSD) for TRS distributed projects. • Troubleshoot problems, and communicate and work with other developers and teams to resolve issues. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology,
Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics or a closely related field and six (6)
years of experience in the job offered or six (6) years of experience
developing and project managing software applications for compliance reporting
and financial services products (stock plan services, 401k, and
defined contribution); or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign
education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics or a closely related
field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or four (4)
years of experience developing and project managing software applications
for compliance reporting and financial services products (stock plan
services, 401k, and defined contribution). Candidate must also possess:
Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) in Business Intelligence infrastructure
development, including reporting and dashboard design using Business
Intelligence tools; DE project managing IT development initiatives, including
people management, which support retirement products investing -- stock
plan services, 401k and defined contributions -- according to
Waterfall and Agile methodologies; DE developing technology platforms and
designing technical solutions to facilitate 401k and defined
contribution nondiscrimination testing, and IRS and Department of Labor
compliance reporting; DE developing and delivering Service Oriented
Architecture (SOA) technology for web and reporting solutions for the Defined
Contributions Testing and Reporting team utilizing business process
