Job Description:

Duties: Will leverage business knowledge to translate the vision for

divisional initiatives into business solutions by developing complex or

multiple software applications for the Digital Content Library (DCLe) team.

Will provide application design, development and support services for DCLe

content management solutions, working with internal business partners to

ensure that solutions meet content delivery needs. Will provide technical

leadership for the development of Java and .NET front-end transaction

processing applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Define and implement application level architecture, including

performance, security, changeability, reliability and user experience.

• Develop original and creative technical solutions for on-going

development efforts.

• Determine development approaches and strategies and ensure

conformance to established Fidelity standards.

• Support implementation of moderate-scope projects and major

initiatives.

• Define and ensure compliance to standards and best practices.

• Conduct studies of alternatives, and analyze and recommend changes

in application level architecture development, procedures, standards and

strategies.

• Advise internally on risk assessment and strategies.

• Lead application support efforts, coordinating and providing

application support for web-based applications that utilize managed content.

• Create detailed system requirements and functional designs.

• Provide guidance and training to enable more junior team members to

meet/exceed expectations, and plan and coordinate project schedules.

• Actively collaborate with other technical leaders on the team to

develop, deploy and monitor team-wide project and technical standards and

best practices.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in

Computer Science, Computer Applications, Engineering, Information

Technology, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Mathematics,

Physics or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience in the

job offered or five (5) years of experience developing Java and .NET front-

end transaction processing applications within a financial services

environment; or, alternatively, a Master’s degree (or foreign education

equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Engineering,

Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Information Systems,

Mathematics, Physics or a closely related field and three (3) years of

experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience developing

Java and .NET front-end transaction processing applications within a

financial services environment. Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated

Expertise (“DE”) in the production of highly scalable, secure customer-

facing websites using Content Management Systems (SDL Tridion and

Documentum); DE developing secure customer-facing websites utilizing front-

end web development technologies (HTML4/5, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript) and web

services technologies (JSON, XML, REST, SOAP); DE in application

development using Java, .Net and C++; writing Shell and Perl scripts for

data extraction and loading; and managing services, processes and system

resources for operating systems -- UNIX (Solaris, Linux) and Windows

(Server 2003, 2008, 2012); DE building and managing applications using

Eclipse and SCM and deployment tools (Clearcase, Git/Stash, Jenkins,

uDeploy); and utilizing job scheduling techniques (CONTROL-M and cron jobs)

to automate the execution of applications, batch processing, data

extraction and loading.
