Job Description:
Duties: Serve as a member of the Mutual Fund Reconciliation
Team. Will be responsible for design, development, implementation and testing
of critical web and desktop applications. Will contribute effectively at
many different points in a project life cycle as an individual contributor. Primary Responsibilities: • Design, develop, integrate, and support mission critical
web applications and financial tools. • Conduct the analysis, design and development of software
that enables users to reconcile customers’ mutual fund accounts. • Perform functional analysis, technical analysis, code and
unit testing for applications. • Maintain applications by adding new functionality and/or
altering current functionality. • Monitor Unix batch jobs. • Address ad hoc database requests from users by providing
reports or making changes to database data. • Adhere to project timelines, and address and resolve
technical issues. • Engage in functional/technical group discussions with
analysts, architects and developers. • Deliver on projects and support tasks in a dynamic
environment. • Develop concise and clear technical design documents based
on analysis of business requirements. • Ensure quality of deliverables throughout the project
lifecycle through peer design reviews, and code reviews. • Mentor junior team members on design and coding standards. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology,
Information Systems, Mathematics or Physics and three (3) years of experience in the
job offered or three (3) years of experience developing .NET web and desktop
solutions connecting to Sybase and Oracle database architectures; or,
alternatively, a Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics or Physics and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or one
(1) year of experience developing .NET web and desktop solutions
connecting to Sybase and Oracle database architectures. Candidate must also
possess: Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) developing .NET web applications
(ASP.NET and ASP.NET MVC) and RESTful and SOAP Web Services (WCF) using C#
and VB; web front-end applications using JavaScript/JQuery for client side
scripting, HTML5/DevExpress for presentation layer, and CSS for styling;
and desktop front-end applications using WPF with MVVM and Prism libraries
for presentation layer; DE in source code management, builds,
deployment and version control using Jenkins, Udeploy, GIT, ClearCase, and
Rational Team Concert; DE developing business intelligence solutions within a
mutual funds environment, including developing reports and linking to
universes using SAP Business Objects reporting suite (Universe Designer
and Web Intelligence); DE creating and managing performance driven
Sybase database objects to manage 1+ million records across multiple tables,
including analyzing performance using Precise; and writing shell scripts
to extract and load data from OLTP data stores/flat files into Sybase
database and scheduling batch jobs using Control-M to execute shell
