Job Description:
Duties: Serve as a member of the Market Data Systems Group
within Fidelity Investments Management Technology (FIMT). The Market Data
Systems Group is responsible for delivering real time Market data, Market data
desktop applications and Market data batch feeds from Market data
vendors and leading financial institutions to various business units within
Fidelity’s Asset management business (Equity, Fixed Income, High Income,
Pyramis, Asset Allocation). Primary Responsibilities: • Perform systems engineering, analysis and maintenance of
Windows servers, operating systems, network configurations, and
software applications in a networked environment. • Develop, configure, package, test and deploy .NET Framework
based Market data applications. • Administer and monitor system availability and performance
tools. • Conduct product management, including life cycle management,
new features, customization of the applications, and performance
management. • Perform testing for Market data applications during
distribution and patching cycles to ensure their compatibility. • Conduct application automation and provide Market data
application technical support. • Enhance self-service tools for efficient delivery
operations. • Deploy upgrades and new systems with a highly reliable
approach. • Provide production support for the Market data
applications. • Develop Unix Shell and PowerShell scripts for automated
testing, and monitoring. • Perform troubleshooting and problem resolution on
applications, including Bloomberg, MSCI Barra, Factset, Style Research, and
MPI Stylus. • Work to meet or exceed service level targets at all times. • Work with vendors and customers to install, test and
troubleshoot applications. • Work with internal teams and external vendors to implement
new projects/services. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology,
Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics or a closely related field and three (3)
years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience
developing, configuring, packaging, testing and deploying .NET Framework
based Market data applications within an asset management environment;
or, alternatively, a Master’s degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology,
Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics or a closely related field and one (1) year
of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience
developing, configuring, packaging, testing and deploying .NET Framework
based Market data applications within an asset management environment.
Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) performing .NET
application automation and testing using HP Quality Center and Application
Life Cycle Management tools; DE in .NET application deployment on Citrix
VDI using Microsoft Application Virtualization tools; and application
personalization using AppSense to implement desktop application system/user
policy and personalization management; DE in application packaging, testing
and deployment using Microsoft Windows 7/10, Microsoft Software
Center Configuration Management and Active Directory tools; DE in UNIX
shell scripting utilizing KORN, CSHELL, PERL, Core Java, VB and
PowerShell scripting for development, deployment and performance
monitoring; and troubleshooting using Wireshark and Microsoft Debugging
