Position Description: Develops customer focused Application Programming Interfaces
(APIs) and capabilities to power Web and mobile experience
platforms using Java, J2EE, JAX-RS, Jersey, Drop-wizard, Spring
MVC, Spring Core, and JavaScript. Enables efficiency, performance
and agility through automating DevOps processes, Continuous
Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using Maven,
Jenkins, Stash, Docker, and Amazon Web Services (AWS). Uses
business knowledge to translate the vision for divisional
initiatives into business solutions by developing complex or
multiple software applications. Creates standard business and
technology practices useful for ease of development. Analyzes and
recommends changes in project development policies, procedures,
standards, and strategies to deliver high quality software through
iterative software development practices. Primary Responsibilities: Participates in architecture design decisions. Defines and implements application-level architecture. Develops applications on complex projects, components, and
subsystems for the division. Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and
reviews and validates test plans. Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables. Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications
or subsystems. Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects
across multiple platforms. Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget. Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for
projects. Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for
multiple projects. Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various
project/technology issues. Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical
evaluation estimates on technology initiatives. Advises senior management on technical strategy. Mentors and coaches junior team members. Performs independent and complex technical and functional
analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional
initiatives. Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going
development efforts. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years
of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience
developing API software for highly transactional systems. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered
or three (3) years of experience developing API software for highly
transactional systems. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) developing highly available,
scalable, fault tolerant, performance efficient, resilient and
secure solutions, using Java, J2EE, and JAX-RS Jersey Restful Web
Services; and deploying enterprise applications on Amazon Web
Services (AWS). DE developing and implementing digital platform-based REST
services, using LWC Drop-wizard framework, Test-Driven and Behavior
Driven Development (TDD and BDD) methodologies, Cucumber and
REST-assured frameworks, and Apigee API Gateway. DE architecting and delivering enterprise financial services
applications in distributed environments using Micro-service
architecture, J2EE, and Spring Boot; and developing Web services
(producers and consumers) using SOAP/REST and Open API technology
stack. DE implementing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment
(CI/CD) pipelines to optimize deployment cycle times for software
artifacts to rapidly deploy changes using Jenkins, Docker, UDeploy,
Blue/Green deployment model, and feature toggles; and provide
rollback strategies on previous version of artifact for each
