Position Description:

Develops and deploys 12-factor, containerized APIs, using Docker and Kubernetes, and Cloud technologies. Performs data engineering, using Oracle/Postgres SQL and PL/SQL. Develops applications, using REST API and Microservices. Codes in Java, Spring MVC, Spring Core, Spring Boot, Python, and C# languages. Develops software following technical standard methodologies and DevOps, Continuous Integrations/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), GIT, Jenkins, uDeploy, Shell Scripts, and JSON tools. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.

Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.

Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.

Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.

Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.

Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.

Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.

Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.

Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience designing and developing secure Java/J2EE based Web applications in a financial services environment.

Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience designing and developing secure Java/J2EE based Web applications in a financial services environment.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (DE) performing Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and developing secure Java/J2EE based Web applications within Linux and Windows environments, using design patterns reactive with Spring framework, application and platform resiliency on public Cloud (AWS or Azure), servers (Tomcat), IDEs (Visual Studio and Eclipse), and design tools (Visio).

DE developing enterprise client server applications using Apache Tomcat; performing database design using SqlDBM; performing data analysis using Python; performing JVM tuning and analysis to maintain high throughput; developing Web-based applications using Angular framework; designing Swagger documents; and performing REST API implementation using Open API Specification.

DE configuring continuous build and integration flows within a Windows and Linux environment, using Git Stash, Jenkins, Maven, and Nexus; automating application deployment flows and enabling security and static scans on builds, using Shell Scripting; and setting-up release standards and maintaining consistency across application environments.

DE performing requirements refinement in the Agile Backlog Refinement sessions, and implementing and documenting low and high level solutions in Confluence; and collaborating within agile teams on requirements, solution design, and design standards to develop secure Web applications and remove dependencies.
