Job Description:
Develops front-end software applications using responsive
frameworks -- Angular or React. Develops middle-tier servers using
API design tools -- Java or Groovy. Runs software on Cloud Service
Providers -- Amazon Web Services (AWS). Performs relational
database development using Oracle. Primary Responsibilities: Leads, coaches, mentors, and develops people and teams in the
organization. Identifies, plans, and acquires talent across the
organization. Ensures team talent composition and workforce planning aligns
with strategic business priorities. Supports and empowers team members to enable delivery of
increased value in their teams through continuous improvement and
learning. Enables an Agile and frictionless organization by demonstrating
Agile behavior. Proactively partners with Chapter Area, Product Area, Center of
Excellence, and Squad Leaders to influence strategic backlog and
prioritization decisions. Measures performance through established objectives and
KPIs. Aligns members across teams and product areas to ensure the best
utilization of talent. Builds learning opportunities and learning day content to
develop associate skills. Sets and applies standards and ensures the work performed is
aligned with established technology road maps. Shares insights, knowledge, industry practices, and developments
across the organization. Develops, creates, and modifies general computer applications
software or specialized utility programs. Analyzes user needs and develops software solutions. Designs software or customizes software with the aim of
optimizing operational efficiency. Sets vision, goals, and direction of team/organization. Plans and leads organization-wide initiatives. Provides leadership, technical supervision, and expertise to
multiple teams in broad technical areas on complex
organization-wide projects. Regularly provides guidance, training, and coaching to other
team members for performance and career development. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and six (6) years
of experience in the job offered or six (6) years of experience
developing highly scalable systems and solutions that support
financial research, portfolio management, and trading functions in
an Asset Management domain. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered
or four (4) years of experience developing highly scalable systems
and solutions that support financial research, portfolio
management, and trading functions in an Asset Management
domain. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) designing and developing highly
scalable and resilient software systems to support the research
activities of investment professionals within an asset management
function of a financial services company, according to Agile
methodologies, using Java, Groovy, TypeScript, .Net, and Cloud
Formation languages. DE designing and developing responsive Web applications, using
HTML, TypeScript, and Angular 10+; performing iOS mobile
development using Ionic; creating unit test using Jest; performing
Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery using Jenkins;
performing version control using Git; log tracking using Datadog;
and creating analytic reports using Tableau. DE designing and building resilient, observant, and
cost-effective systems using Amazon Web Services (AWS); performing
microservice development, using SpringBoot and Swagger; developing
event-based systems using Tibco EMS MQ; performing batch processing
using SpringBatch; creating tests, using Junit and Mockito;
performing load testing using JMeter; designing and developing
backend programming for Oracle using PL/SQL; performing ETL using
Informatica; and scheduling jobs using Autosys. DE designing and deploying enterprise search engine
infrastructure and capabilities using Solr; setting up Solr Cloud
clusters across data centers, using effective sharding and
replication techniques; designing schemas for new Solr collections
using available data types; and designing highly available querying
