Position Description:

**Multiple positions available**

Builds, tests, and engineers REST Application Programming Interfaces (API's). Builds and deploys applications using Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools -- uDeploy, Jenkins, and Maven. Writes SQL queries and debugs stored procedures within an Oracle environment. Performs troubleshooting in a dynamic Agile environment. Coordinates multiple development work streams through integration and ensures architecture is scalable and extensible.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.

Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.

Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.

Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.

Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.

Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.

Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.

Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.

Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.

Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience developing Rest APIs using Java/J2EE at an enterprise level.

Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience developing Rest APIs using Java/J2EE at an enterprise level.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

Demonstrated Expertise (DE) performing Object-oriented design and analysis; and performing system analysis of complex architectures, using Eclipse, Microsoft Visio, Splunk, Putty, Unix, and WinSCP.

DE configuring continuous build and integration flows, using Git, Maven or Ant, and Jenkins within a UNIX environment (Ubuntu and Centos); building Java based platforms using Docker images that can be deployed into a containerized environment; building Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines across Jenkins and bamboo; and building automated test suites --converting time consuming manual testing steps into seamless automated test scripts that run as part of CI/CD without manual intervention -- using Unix scripting, Jenkins, and Rest Assured.

DE developing enterprise services applications in distributed environments, using Spring (Spring boot, Sprig IOC, and Spring Security), ORM frameworks (Ibatis, Hibernate, and Mybatis), Oracle (PLSQL), and JDBC frameworks; developing Java based Web services, using JAX-WS, REST, XML, and JSON; developing microservices using REST Web services and testing them using REST Assured and Postman/Soap UI tool; generating custom regression reports for validating requests and API response of JSON content, using Java Frameworks; and parsing custom data structure JSON using Java code.

DE configuring and developing enterprise services applications that run on rule-based products --WODM, Groovy, or Drools; and writing PL/SQL build stored procedures and triggers, using Oracle, MySQL, and IBM DB2.
