Job Description:
Designs, develops, and modifies complex and major software
systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to
predict and measure outcome and consequences of design. Develops
critical data foundations, using Oracle and Amazon Web Services
(AWS). Manages data within relational databases using SQL. Tracks
process changes, using Jira and Jira Align. Delivers business,
technology, and people results by measuring performance against
objectives and KPI's. Develops and directs software system testing
and validation procedures, programming, and documentation. Drafts
on in-depth knowledge of the business or function to provide
business unit-wide solutions. Primary Responsibilities: Drives the acquisition of business intelligence. Consults on the development of delivery of major technology
initiatives of the business unit. Consults on the deployment of major technology applications. Oversees the technical implementation of cross-divisional
components. Sets visions, goals, and direction of team/organization. Plans and leads organization-wide initiatives. Advances client-facing data and insights offerings for the
enterprise. Develops advanced analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AI)
solutions. Defines, refines, and communicates the teams mission and
roadmap. Motivates and builds team and partner support and alignment. Anticipates and conducts discovery through ongoing interaction
with clients. Priorities client and partner needs to serve as their voice and
guide execution of the team. Defines, evaluates, and communicates results against acceptance
criteria. Inspects and evaluates progress, removing impediments. Builds team capacity and capabilities -- enables member growth,
development, and learning. Analyzes user needs and develops software solutions. Designs or customizes software for client use with the aim of
optimizing operational efficiency. Analyzes and designs databases within an application area,
working individually or coordinating database development. Supervises computer programmers. Identifies and plans for future resource needs. Provide leadership, technical supervision, and expertise to
multiple teams in broad technical areas on complex
organization-wide projects. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and six (6) years
of experience in the job offered or six (6) years of experience
managing all aspects of the full-stack application development
lifecycle in a financial services environment. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered
or four (4) years of experience managing all aspects of the
full-stack application development lifecycle in a financial
services environment. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) managing all aspects of the
full-stack application development lifecycle in a financial
services environment, using Angular, integrated WebFocus user
interfaces, Oracle, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Snowflake Cloud
architectures; in strategy development for modernizing technology
products and solutions -- analyzing and migrating legacy Websphere
to Tomcat/Springboot and SOAP to REST services, updating legacy
applications to be 12-factor ready for Cloud migration to Amazon
Web Services (AWS), and monitoring Cloud-scale applications for
institutional brokerages using Datadog -- in the financial service
industry. DE managing the full stack development of applications --
developing User Interface (UI) designs (using Angular JS,
JavaScript, Adobe Flex, and jQuery software) and sourcing data in
Oracle databases (using SQL, PL/SQL, Java, and Spark JDBC or Cloud
data warehouses (Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) and Snowflake
-- used by 200,000+ financial services intermediaries according to
Agile methodologies. DE leading high performing, matrixed analysis, software
engineering, and quality assurance teams in gathering requirements,
prioritizing product backlogs, and ensuing timely delivery of
capabilities to customers according to Scrum and Agile
methodologies. DE analyzing customer needs and leading the creation of
technology products, using WebFocus reports and BI dashboards
developed using TIBCO Developer Studio, TIBCO App Studio,
