Job Description:
Designs, develops, implements, and maintains operations
automation applications for Enterprise Infrastructure (EI)
Production Services. Designs, develops, and automates the delivery
and implementation of software applications according to Agile and
Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) methodologies,
using Node.js, NPM, Asynchronous Programming, Angular, HTMLS, CSS3,
Java, J2EE, Oracle, MySQL or MariaDB, Maven or Ant, Git, REST,
Apache HTTP Server, and Tomcat. Designs and develops scalable
solutions and test automation routines -- documents and executes
test plans to ensure new automation components satisfy business and
systems requirements. Uses business knowledge to translate the
vision for divisional initiatives into business solutions by
developing complex or multiple software applications and conducting
studies of alternatives. Analyzes and recommends changes in project
development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to
development experts and management. Primary Responsibilities: Participates in architecture design teams. Defines and implements application level architecture. Develops applications on complex projects, components, and
subsystems for the division. Recommends development testing tools and methodologies and
reviews and validates test plans. Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables. Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications
or subsystems. Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects
across multiple platforms. Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget. Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for
projects. Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for
multiple projects. Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various
project/technology issues. Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical
evaluation estimates on technology initiatives. Advises senior management on technical strategy. Mentors junior team members. Performs independent and complex technical and functional
analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional
initiatives. Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going
development efforts. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Applied
Computer Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered
or five (5) years of experience implementing, testing, and
debugging highly scaled, secure Web services and enterprise Web
applications. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Applied Computer Science, Computer Science,
Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3)
years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of
experience implementing, testing, and debugging highly scaled,
secure Web services and enterprise Web applications. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) developing Web MVC applications
according to Spring and Struts frameworks; creating middle-tier
action classes according to Struts frameworks; and developing User
Interfaces (UIs) -- using JSP -- and UI validations -- using
JavaScript. DE developing high throughput, fault tolerant, concurrent batch
processes and middle-tier Web services for solution enablement and
management applications in a batch/event based hybrid paradigm,
using Java-Spring boot and JPA applications; and scheduling batch
aspects for bulk uploads into MongoDB and MariaDB, using Cron jobs
and Python scripts. DE developing solution enablement and management applications
with vertically aligned full stack stories by analyzing
requirements according to Agile methodologies; expressing
requirements in automation capable tests, using Behavior Driven
Development (BDD) techniques, and Spock or Cucumber; and developing
vertical stories across tiers -- data (Mariadb and MongoDB),
application (Java and Spring), and UI (Angular/Vue) using Jira and
Jira Align. DE participating in and providing mentoring throughout the full
Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) -- implementing and improving
Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) declarative
pipelines including, hybrid Cloud (AWS and on-premise data centers)
platforms, using Jenkins and uDeploy), and performing source code
and structures management (using git and Maven), scalable messaging
management (using Kafka), and log aggregation (using Splunk); and
monitoring and troubleshooting performance related issues of
solution enablement and management applications, using
