Delivers innovative, scalable, industry-leading investment tools
that enable a global competitive advantage in an asset management
domain. Creates a framework for self-service data acquisition by
building data quality processes and transitions data stores to
Cloud using Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Snowflake Cloud
technologies. Designs, develops, and implements data solutions for
OLTP and OLAP applications using DBMS Systems Oracle. Draws on
in-depth knowledge of the business or function to provide business
unit-wide solutions by developing complex, multi-faceted software
applications. Researches and recommends new technologies in support
of the strategic direction of the business unit and participates in
the research and recommendation of appropriate models, methods,
tools, and technologies to achieve business-unit-wide
solutions. Primary Responsibilities: Translates and incorporates business vision and strategy to
architectural strategy recommendations at the functional level. Participates in high-level, cross- functional architecture
design teams. Identifies and consults with internal and external technical
resources to produce cross-company strategic designs. Consults on development and delivery of major technology
initiatives for the business unit. Consults on deployment of major project deliverables. Consults on the documentation of major technology
application. Oversees the technical implementation of cross-divisional or
company architectural components. Initiates and drives project or strategy discussions with users
or external groups to resolve issues. Sets vision, goals, and direction of team/organization. Plans and leads organization-wide initiatives. Provides leadership, technical supervision, and expertise to
multiple teams in broad technical areas on complex
organization-wide projects. Advises senior management on technical strategy. Researches and recommends new technologies. Works across groups to identify opportunities for
organization-wide technology initiatives. Regularly provides guidance, training, and coaching to other
team members for performance and career development. Identifies and plans for future resource needs. Determines technical approaches at a strategic level for the
business unit. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Applied Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and six (6) years of experience in the job offered or
six (6) years of experience developing transaction processing and
warehouse database systems supporting compliance, risk, and
business operation functions in Asset Management environment. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Applied Computer Science,
Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and four (4) years
of experience in the job offered or four (4) years of experience
developing transaction processing and warehouse database systems
supporting compliance, risk, and business operation functions in
Asset Management environment. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) designing and building data
engineering and warehousing systems, and building Service Oriented
Architecture (SOA) design patterns, using Oracle SQL and PL/SQL,
packages, collections, and messaging/streaming technologies --
Amazon Web Services (AWS), SQS, and Kinesis/Kafkaa -- and Snowflake
database; performing unit testing using UTPLSQL; creating
conceptual, logical, and physical OLAP and OLTP data models using
PowerDesigner; performing data quality checks using Oracle EDQ; and
building complex ETL and ELT workflows data consumption using
Informatica PowerCenter. DE managing data engineering projects supporting all aspects and
phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) according to
Agile methodologies using JIRA -- gathering business requirements
and translating them to technical and architectural design and
implementation specifications; and collaborating with internal and
external partners and support teams -- driving technical strategy,
and software development and delivery, while ensuring stability and
reliability. DE maintaining multi-faceted data engineering systems for
investment, portfolio, and risk management functions; performing
financial services and asset management data analysis; performing
data profiling and visualization and mining business insights,
using Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) and
Tableau; and establishing and driving organization wide strategic
initiatives to ensure data and code quality, data engineering
practices and automation, and Continuous Delivery and Deployment,
using Sonar, Crucible, Git, Stash, and Jenkins. DE leading data management projects; building and maintaining
Information Technology (IT) project plans and roadmaps; hiring and
supervising individual contributors and technical leads responsible
for building and supporting data solutions; building, managing, and
coordinating global distributed development teams responsible for
developing, testing, and delivering data engineering and system
build and maintenance projects; planning and managing team
structure, budget, and resources; and providing technical guidance,
