Job Description:
Modernizes and builds innovative and Cloud-native software
applications, capabilities, and platforms, using Java, Spring Core,
Spring Boot, and Web Services (SOAP/REST). Develops software
applications, using Angular 10+, NodeJS, Jasmine, Cypress and
Protractor and CI/CD tools -- Git, Maven, Jenkins, uDeploy, JIRA,
Artifactory, Dynatrace, and Sonar. Develops applications, using
IDEs Spring Tool Suite and Eclipse within a UNIX and Windows
environment. Performs coding using PL/SQL queries and debugs stored
procedures. Performs code reviews, and unit and integration testing
using Open-Source frameworks. Provides business solutions by
developing complex or multiple software applications. Primary Responsibilities: Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going
development efforts. Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in
multiple platforms. Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several
divisional initiatives. Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to
implementation. Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance
testing. Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications
supporting several corporate initiatives. Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems. Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope. Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a
project. Performs independent and complex technical and functional
analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives. Education and Experience: No degree and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or
five (5) years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining
customer facing Web applications and services in a financial or
insurance services environment. Or, alternatively, Bachelors degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered
or three (3) years of experience designing, developing, and
maintaining customer facing Web applications and services in a
financial or insurance services environment. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or
one (1) year of experience designing, developing, and maintaining
customer facing Web applications and services in a financial or
insurance services environment. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) designing, developing, coding, and
maintaining customer facing, Cloud native Web applications and
services within a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) in a
financial or insurance services environment, using Java and Angular
Languages. DE developing customer facing Web applications that leverage
classic Model View Layer (MVC) architecture using Java/Spring
framework; designing and developing object model and Spring batch
implementation for back-end services in a scalable multi-tiered
environment; and refactoring and migrating legacy applications to
Cloud platforms. DE developing distributed applications using Continuous
Integration/Continuous Delivery pipeline, using GIT, Jenkins,
Sonar, uDeploy, and Agile methodologies. DE deploying and monitoring Enterprise Web based Services to
provide CI/CD pipelines for scalable multi-tiered Web applications,
using Jenkins, NPM, and Maven (package management); performing
version control (using Git), issue tracking (using Jira, Service
Now, and Quality Center), and log tracking (using Splunk); and
