Job Description:
Identifies performance bottlenecks and provides tuning
recommendations on application and systems server technologies --
Tomcat, Node, Apache, and Amazon Web Services (AWS). Ensures
industry leading platforms are robust and can scale to meet the
needs of the business, using LoadRunner, CloudTest, and JMeter.
Monitors and analyzes performance metrics and application logs of
large-scale end-to-end systems. Ensures timely escalation of
critical issues to development, project, and performance
engineering teams. Uses business knowledge to translate the vision
for divisional initiatives into business solutions. Analyzes and
recommends changes in project development policies, procedures,
standards, and strategies to development experts and
management. Primary Responsibilities: Plans capacity of hardware and software resources required to
cater service demands for current and future release phases of
performance engineering. Derives and setups dashboards to capture volumetric and expected
response time details. Creates performance test plans and strategies. Develops virtual assets by mocking third party applications and
ensuring the application is available for testing. Develops performance test scripts, framework, and validation
procedures for test cases. Develops in-house testing tools. Sets up monitors and instrument servers to capture server
behavior during load conditions. Designs and implements solutions to simulate production
environment. Identifies bottlenecks and server capacity concerns and provides
tuning recommendations to alleviate performance issues. Provides production support by exercising or simulating
concurrent load on production environments or Resiliency / chaos
testing frameworks. Performs independent and complex technical and functional
analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional
initiatives. Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects
across multiple platforms. Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going
development efforts. Creates dashboard and confluence pages to manage daily tasks,
demand, and project capacity. Generates project status reports on a weekly and monthly basis
with project stakeholders. Advises senior management on technical strategy. Coaches and Mentors junior team members. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years
of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience
performing performance engineering and testing cyber security
applications in a financial services environment. Or alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered
or three (3) years of experience performing performance engineering
and testing cyber security applications in a financial services
environment. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) creating automated performance tests
in a financial services environment, using LoadRunner, Akamai Cloud
Test, JMeter, Splunk, Datadog, and Amazon Web Services (AWS)
CloudWatch. DE integrating performance tests into Continuous
Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines in a financial
service environment, using Jenkins, GIT, and UDeploy. DE developing virtual assets in a financial service environment,
using Wiremock and Parasoft. DE story pointing, tracking, and presenting status updates to
stakeholders in a financial service environment, using JIRA and
