Job Description:
Develops software applications in a Service Oriented
Architecture (SOA), using Java, J2EE, REST, SQL, JUnit, Tomcat.
Builds and deploys applications in a DevOps environment, using
Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools.
Creates web-based software components utilized by retail customers.
Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple
software applications. Primary Responsibilities: Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going
development efforts. Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in
multiple platforms. Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several
divisional initiatives. Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to
implementation. Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance
testing. Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications
supporting several corporate initiatives. Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems. Represents technology solutions to our business partners. Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a
project. Performs independent and complex technical and functional
analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3)
years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of
experience analyzing, designing, developing, testing, and
implementing internet and client/server applications in a financial
services environment. Or, alternatively, Masters degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information
Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely
related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or
one (1) year of experience analyzing, designing, developing,
testing, and implementing internet and client/server applications
in a financial services environment. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) developing distributed, rich,
low-latency internet applications within the financial services
industry, using Java and J2EE technologies (Spring, Servlets, JSP),
Angular, JavaScript, Web security technologies (OAuth and SAML),
Apache Camel, SOAP/RESTful Web services, Test Driven Development
(TDD), and Agile methodologies; and performing unit testing of Web
applications, using Junit, Jasmine, and Karma open source
frameworks. DE analyzing, designing, developing, testing, and implementing
internet and client/server applications, using Java, Spring, Apache
Camel, Apache Kafka, Apache Tomcat, Angular, and JavaScript;
gathering business requirements, and analyzing and creating
algorithms and flowcharts to depict the overall flow of business
processes using Confluence; and documenting functional and
technical requirements through the creation of business
requirements documents. DE creating and maintaining application release management,
using Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
processes and Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure DevOps; providing
support to applications after release; analyzing and resolving
end-user bugs by debugging code, using Eclipse and Visual Studio;
and analyzing error logs to locate the origin of bugs/problems and
resolve them without impacting other modules. DE providing production issue resolutions for business-critical
applications supporting 100+ investment professionals; and working
on a full-stack engineering team -- developing, designing,
analyzing, testing, and validating distributed applications and
building CI/CD processes, using Jenkins, Stash, uDeploy, Splunk,
